I was busy at work the other day and as I stepped off the kerb onto the road I felt a sharp scratch on my leg. I almost just thought nothing of it but I stoped and thought "normally my shoe doesn't scratch me when I brush it."

I looked to see what the offending weapon was and for some reason the top left corner of the SI logo on my Assault shoes had partially bent out, and was protruding a sharp bit. I pushed it back in and went on with my business, but not before sustaining a lasting reminder of why they are called ASSAULT SHOES.

Ouch.

Try suing O for a new pair. :-)

Their defense would be "What are you complaining about? Our shoes just gave you a badass new scar."

And I will say "Yes. Yes they did."

Then the judge will say "Case dismissed!"

I've noticed that the corners on mine are missing the rubber coating. I may just remove them at some point and use them in the display.

Yeah Dann they're pretty awesome little stickers. When I retire these shoes hopefully the icons are still in ok nick and I can stick em somewhere.

The catch is, when you retire them. I bought casings, and I've only worn them a few times. The SI Boots keep on going.

should i be glad my Assault Boots didn't come with the red triangles?
at first i wanted a pair with those red triangles, then heard stories about them falling off. when i went shopping a few weeks ago, a handful of Anorak 2.0 jackets had the red triangle falling off too.

Well maybe if you bought them recently you can returned them.

I know for a fact Oakley is aware of the problem, thats too bad or I would have bought a pair already.

It's active camouflage. Changes to blend with your background. Very hush-hush. Don't tell anyone.

Ouch. Nike had a similar problem a couple of years ago. Their Jordan Trunner model had a metal clip on the back for better support. The metal clip popped out and started cutting people pretty bad. Nike had to do a major recall after lawsuits started pouring in.
