I tried these today. They're alright I guess. Would've been much nicer in O-Luminum. The front look reminded me a lot of the Gascan, maybe a little narrower. They also have the new out-turned ends on the stems (like X-Hair)

Got to take a look at the Spike today. I like the weight of it, but not the style. Overall, I'd say the Riddle is a better pair of sunglasses compared to the Spike if that's your style.

The Spike is the only full-rim wire I can think of that doesn't have screws clamping the orbital onto the lens. Has anyone noticed problems with how the lens sits in the frame? Is it just a press-fit?

I think the lens is just pressed in, but I have not had any problems with it. The front of the frame is just really thin and smooth with the lens so I am sure the fit of the lens has to be prefect.

tried it at the O-Store on Friday. *sigh* looks like these will have to be crossed out of my wantlist as they didn't fit either. they seem to favour people with narrow heads, LOL. my wide melon could not have possibly be able to wear the Spikes.

the only colour they had was the Black Chrome/Brown-Clear Gradient, which was totally not my thing. i think i'll save my final judgement on the Spike until i see the Matte Black or the Light/Ti-Iridium.

Both my wife and I love the new Spike. Fit well, looked great, but the Canadian retail on the Light/Titanium was $230 plus tax which is a far cry from the US retail price so I will be holding off. I really dug them, just wish Canada wasn't such a rip off.

Can someone put the Spike next to another pair of frames like the Crosshair and Juliet? The design's growing on me but I'm afraid it'd look too big if I went ahead and got one.

Wow, most excellent Adam. That was quick!

They're not as big as I thought... I think I'll have a crack at them. Thanks!

They seem to be a similar shape to the Fives 3.0 (or I could just be crazy). Could anyone put them next to eachother too? Thanks.

I can probably do that tonight, I'll see what I can come up with unless someone beats me to it.

So what seems to be the favorite colorway so far? I've yet to see any of them in person, unfortunately. It seems like Matte Black/Grey and Light/Ti are in the lead so far.

Yeah the unknowns are nice aren't they? :) I'm not really tempted by the spike. If I can't really pull off crosshairs (I know the picture looked good, but the reality was ....meh), I certainly can't pull off a spike.

Personally, I think the Spike is a great frame. I think the earstems are fantastic, and will admit that the front view leaves something to be desired (a bit plain). I would say that with the style and lens size, it was especially important for me to get an iridium lens. I love the light/ti colorway, but also am impressed with the VR28 Black colorway as well.
