Funny thing is we just got the riddles at the bike shop/ ODP i work at and now they are old news, just like the hatchets we have been sitting on at the old price, OBTW - the guy at the o-store was hitting that the hatchets are on the chopping block so buy em' to raise the numbers and help them survive

Good think I got the Ruby Clear Riddles when I did. Otherwise I'd never find one if the Riddles get discontinued.

Saw my OPD's rep on monday when he was visiting. He had the spike on him and they looked horrible and fit even worse. None of the guys in my OPD liked them at all. But time will tell, maybe it was the color of the frame/lens. I personally will not be buying them.

I think they will have a special market like the gascan and the riddle but will have a decent following

It was that Matte Black / Grey. Rather bland looking to me in person.

I'm gonna have to say that I like them. Especially the Chrome/VR28 Black ones.

I don't like them, but I said that when I first saw the Hatchet and Gascan too and I ended up buying them when I tried them on.

Yeah, that tends to happen alot on this site. I thought the Montefrios were the worst thing to ever come out of Oakley, until other members got them and then I went out and bought a pair :)

And now you like them. I really like mine. I want to grab a Brown pair next year.

The big surprise is that I've seen more people here In Chicago wearing Montefrios than any other new frame.

I was hoping to check out the Spike at my o-store today ... but they didn't have them in yet. :( Bummer ... I guess I'll hope they get them in later this week. I was taking that 12/1 launch date seriously! :)

yeah, my O-Store didn't have the Spike yet either. :( i was hoping to try them on... oh well. hopefully they'll be in the next time i pay them a visit.

That's pretty cool. I think there's going to be a lot of people changing their minds on this one. It's looking better and better to me, but I'm a sucker for good marketing. Tell me to like something and I probably will!

The website people at Oakley should do that 360 degree view thing for all of their stuff. But, they won't.

Damn like Rick the marketing has me intrigued. Much nicer than I thought, but I'll reserve final judgement till I see them in person.

How bout that logo! That is uber sweet. If all goes to plan tomorrow I am having lunch with my area rep and he is bringing out the spikes! So, hopefully some on the face pictures for tomorrow!! I am definately hoping these fit like they look because theses are some good lookin glasses. Now, if we all just hope that oakley hits another home run with this next x-metal thats rumored. . .

I think a lot of people will be changing their minds about the Spike. A good picture will do that. We'll see if it will look as good in real life.
