Yeah, I'm not sure how a gradient lens would look on me, but I would like to try it out. Not the brown one on the Crosshair, but the black one on the Gascan. I think once I get my Gascans in, I'm gonna order a black gradient lens from Oakley, for when I need a classier look.

Yeah I think you have to be in a specific mood to wear the Brown Gradient crosshairs. They're nice but they wouldn't be my primary pair of Crosshairs. I'd get them after I got the VR28 Black's.

I'm told polished gold (OPD exclusive) will be available next week for those of you who are interested.

I like the sound of that: polished gold yummy !

Will be interesting to see where the color is between 24k, butterscotch or yellowish.

I'm confused, are the Brown Gradient X-hairs really SGH exclusives, or do they just get it first before everyone else does? The SGH promotional signs state something like "First at SGH". If it was exclusive, I would've thought they would've stated some thing like "Exclusively at SGH" instead of what they have now.

The Why 8.0 already comes in Polished Gold, so I imagine it to be like that.

What's the lens going to be? VR28 Gold like Why 8.0, or something different? Brown Gradient, Black Iridium, 24K Iridium. Any other suggestions?

Yeah, I've always suspected it'll be VR28 Gold like the Wardens. After all, it worked so well on that model.

Gold Crosshairs huh? Does Memphis have an OPD? Elvis would be proud! Actually a Polished Gold FMJ Riddle would be even more Elvisy.

I think I may one of the very few people on this forum that doesn't have absolute appreciation for the VR28 lenses. I've always found it unfortunate that the VR28s found their way onto some of Oakley's most interesting frames (ie. Copper Penny, Polished Gold Warden and X-hair, Chrome X-hair, Brown Juliet, Ti02 Juliet, etc.).

It's not that I don't like them (just not absolute appreciation of them); IMO, I just think Oakley has tons of better lenses, especially for the frames I've listed. Most of my favorite lenses are virtually mirror-like and I'm not a big fan of the brownish base tint, either....puts a strain on my eyes after a few hours.

yeah i guess all eyes are different, i think my eyes wish i had gold iridium contacts, cos i can wear those lenses 247/365 without any strain, but i cant do that with non contrast lenses my eyes can feel the sun after a while.

I spoke with an OPD person a couple days ago, and she said the Crosshairs were selling very well. They only had 2 X-hairs (both Black Gradients) left the day I came. I think they had all the colours except the Ducati and the White frames.

I've been really diggin' my Ducati Crosshairs....I'm thinking they will go well with my new Oakley "Noriega" hat...

I have really been liking my matte black/polarized black Crosshairs lately. Great coverage for med.-lg. heads.

I have also really been liking my Wardens as well. I know people don't like them and think they are more "fashion" sunglasses, but they are a classic design and are very comfy to wear.

I like both the X-hair and Warden, but I wish the X-hair had some of the finer details the Warden had, such as the engraved "Oakley" at the top of the bridge and inward turning earstem tips. Other than that, the X-hairs fit much better.

i always loved the engraved stretch logo on the Wardens. looks really cool on top of the nosebridge and the sides of the earstems. i was really surprised to find it so detailed when i first got the Wardens.
