this seller has several listings of fake juliets and one of them is going as high as $175. it might be too late to complain or anything cos the auction is ending in 2 hours. i'm sending the bidder a message though.., with compliments from our forum of course..!

good call...honest people like you are what makes ebay so good.

i just dont understand how anyone would sell fakes...that is borderline fraud to me. juliets are especially easy to tell fakes(as are all the x-metals)...why do sellers even bother? err...it just makes me angry when people accept hard earned money for crap!

anyway, have a great week.

I sent the seller a message asking her how she could in good conscience sell fake Oakleys as real Juliets... Her response was that if anyone asked, she would tell them that they were replicas and that I should mind my own business... grrrr...

I suspect that the people bidding the glasses up so high are actually people who know they're fakes and just bidding the prices up so nobody will buy them. If you check, they're all being bid up by a bunch of people with 0 rating scores.

Hmm, I guess this is a quite good c six fake. I know the guy is only selling fakes, but if I didn't know. I think it would be hard to tell from the pictures...
At least I won't be able to...

Yeah, some of them look pretty dead on accurate from far away. You can only tell they're fake when you come up close and see it doesn't have the same texture and patterning as milled CF, the unobtainium isn't shaped like it should be, the etchings on the titanium earstem spine isn't right, etc.

The last fake C-Six sold on ebay.co.uk sold for £310.00, approx $480.00. Dispite the fact that various people sent info to ebay about them being fake they did not stop the auction. Ebay don't seam to do a great deal with any fakes that are reported to them as I've reported plenty to them & still watched the auction run to it's end. I've reported them to Oakley too & they seam to jump on quicker than eBay. But we still need to keep reporting them otherwise the sellers will get away with it.

I've given up reporting fakes to Ebay: they simply do not care (provided that the seller pays his auction fees). However, I do still report fakes to Oakley (and those auctions get taken down very quickly).

Hmm, this one just doesn't feel good: http://www.ebay.com/itm/OAKLEY-DISPATCH-2-SUNGLASSES-OO9150-02-POLISHED-NAVY-FRAME-CHROME-IRIDIUM-LENS-/251095753469?pt=US_Sunglasses&hash=item3a767922fd#ht_526wt_1413

What do you think?

Jules, was there something particular that triggered your concern? It looks good to me, and his other items for sale seems to indicate that they should all be good. Some of the colorways and recent colorways that I don't think would be duplicated. The item itself looks pretty good, the only thing that caught my eye was the white microfiber bag.

Very convincing fake Juliet, I can see how the casual observer would believe these are real, but I see a couple subtle hints of non-authenticity: no gaskets, and if this were a polished Juliet, it is too matte to be polished; and two blaring clue: 1. The frame is modeled after an XX (the orbital screws tilted slightly upward; since they are modeled after the XX and Oakley never made a polarized XX= Fake) 2.the micro clear pouch and ballistic case, blatant fakes. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oakley-Sunglasses-Juliet-/280910473737?pt=US_Sunglasses&hash=item416791aa09#ht_6361wt_1393

It was the white bag indeed, also the lens color seemed to differ a bit of what I know from Chrome Iridium... All the other items he has are ok indeed. Hmmm, maybe gotta then :-)

The flex couplers are screws instead of rivets. That's what gave it away to me yesterday when I saw them.
