I was looking at other cases, so I was predicting. I have 6 kato. Only blue was broken. Only for now ...

Other colors may break over time.

Ive been hearing more and more people have had this problem with the first batch that was released. Rumor has it they are having production problems and that’s the reason they ain’t selling the Katos at the moment.

The ones I have is the Super Bowl version from back in Feb and they haven’t had any problems so far. But then again they weren’t mass produced.

Hopefully second batch is better.

Yeah, I'm sure they are working on it. Doubt they will abandon these at this point this soon at least.

I asked various oakley employees on Instagram. But everyone except one doesn't know. The first time I saw. It was said to be the first case. So I posted. Only one said it was due to the high temperatures during transportation. Only one employee is kind. Do they really not know? Only the ace players of the team used kato in the Italian cycle road race tournament. All my teammates don't use kato. why? Strange

Sorry about your misfortune, but thanks for the heads up. Given the price point and Oakley finally doing something significantly out of the box in awhile they would be having these issues.

It's not cool to blame it on high temperatures, they have to know what temps products will experience throughout the shipping process and even what the user may put their products through. It's not like this is the first time Oakley has shipped a pair of glasses ever. Just down to poor design/adhesive material choice and I see it being a larger problem in the future. They should definitely warranty anyone's glasses that this happens to.

It's an epoxy glue. I will challenge the repair.

I finally made it to a store and they are going to do a warranty replacement. They just don't have one in stock so they had to order one in.

I found a problem with Kato. The angles of the joint between the lens and the frame do not match. Therefore, the lens will come off.
