This is correct. The lenses are glued on. The nose piece mounts,aka the hooks, also appear to be glued on but the rubber piece is removable like normal.

When I get home I'll share a fairly disturbing picture of one of mine. The arm on one side essentially fell off. I would say the glue/attachment process may need a little work.

The moving parts of the arm are probably removable. If the lens breaks, replace everything except the left and right arms. Of course there is no problem with the nose. We need the same assumptions as the standard issue series tombstone lens interchange system.

I had these in my truck and when I opened the arms to put them on the arm just popped off the lens. It was pretty cold overnight, like maybe 28-30f so maybe that was part of it. When I looked at the adhesive they used to attach it, it appeared that only the bottom third of it was stuck to the lens. That part was still tacky or sticky. The remaining adhesive wasn't sticky at all.

So as I said above the arm just fell of one of my Kato's.

This is a very terrible situation. It can be expected that Kato will have troubles in the future due to damage to the lens adhesive and the arm adjustment cover. Happy if your kato can be repaired

I would guess its some kind of epoxy. There's a cavity on the back side of the mounting piece that look like it holds a bit of it so it doesn't squeeze out when they apply the lens. I don't know if they didn't use enough epoxy but in the picture you can see that only the bottom bit seemed to make contact.

That is definitely a little worrying... I hope that doesn't happen to my pair. I think it would be cool if they used 2 Torx screws to secure the arms to the lens like a fashion Kato with metal arms too. It would be much stronger and more durable.

Finally got to test out my KATO's!

They are a little big for my face (need a KATO S version) but oh well. I love them regardless. :)

Sorry for the mistake friend, I changed the names without realizing it.
Yes, this version of the Superbowl did not come here for us in Brazil, unfortunately, otherwise I had acquired 1 of this superbowl.
But now the normal Kato came, it’s already good.
