I would think at least the first 1,000 on the list will have production run of 6 or less pairs - stuff like the Matte Clear Thumps, Neon Green Camo MD, various hand-painted OTTs that Donnie had while he was running the Rolling O, athlete pairs with signature lenses (various racers had X-metals with their names etched on lenses), etc. Others have more out there but have less than 50 made such as the pinstriped MD given out in 2005-ish and assorted race team-sponsored pairs such as the Joker Race Team Romeo 2. Other numbers already on the list will increase since there are a lot more out there than are listed such as the NSJ flame coloured frames (much more than 2). In fact, most of Total_O's output from back in 2006 would top the list.

Agreed on the flamed NSJ, I was going of off the numbers I could actually pin down. Another pink flamed one has surfaced that I know of.

good list, ive got 18 on there which im happy about. but what about my grapevine eye jackets!, I heard only one or two pairs but who knows!

What was the recall for on the OTT Blade II’s?

I heard some collectors say there was a recall, but I've not seen any evidence of that. Some OPDs still offered them long after the movie was released since they couldn't move them. Difficult to imagine but OTTs didn't move all that fast back then (though the Blade II OTT did seem to move pretty briskly on Oakley.com - I think I only saw them up for about a week or so). There were some eBay sellers offering a bunch a year or two after as well (which is when I got mine).

Another common question is quantities, we have seen many cases where numbers were inaccurate.

I thought there were 4 different Corvette etchings?

I treat the number produced as best educated guesses, even if it comes from the mouth of an Oakley employee. Numbers stated may be correct at a point in time, but nothing stops Oakley from dipping into the well again. And besides that, different departments do different things, so one employee may not have the full picture. But you never know with Oakley.

I think only three etchings, but there are diff frame colorways.

Other than the Concept Studio and Project 453 releases, there are a ton of 1-of-1 stuff Oakley has done for internal prizes, regional O Stores or select SGH stores:

The first 1/1 OTT hand painted one belonged to the person that ran the original Rolling O, Donnie. Obviously he had close ties with JJ, Cannon, Scelzi, Force, etc. He sold a whole bunch of stuff when he left Oakley, including rare OTTs. The OTT shown is one of those custom made by Oakley.

The second hand painted OTT was done by Takumi for this year’s Retail Assault meeting. That was a 1/1 as well and numbered as such.

The hand painted Holdbrook and Gascan underneath it were also done by Takumi. Before Oakley did the Studio Concept and Project 453 pairs, Oakley had a habit of putting out 1/1 painted pairs in different regional markets. San Fran, Florida, etc. Offered in some O Stores and SGHs. They were usually around the $500 mark (at least the one I saw in San Fran many years back was that much).

The Joker R2 was something done for the Joker Racing Team (now defunct) when Oakley had sponsored them. I was told 10 were made, but they may have made more later one. For stuff like this, Oakley just made more when more was needed.

The last pic was of an Art Exhibition in Japan many years back. One of the featured artists was Takumi and those were his pairs (you can see his name on the front description plate).

I was told some type of motorsports team. I don't keep up with Motorsports regularly so can't be more specific.

Many of us have seen the rattle snake skin Blade and M Frame, but the red version of it isn't seen very often. Here is Lee's (banarno) pair:

Reached out and got this info:

"The joker was for a Top Alcohol Fuel Dragster, Jokers Wild Racing that used to compete in NHRA, National Hot Rod Association. They actually held track records for several years at the Mission Raceway in Abbotsford. There were only six pairs of glasses made and they were for the driver and crew.

I forgot to mention that they are no longer active, it s been around 10 years since they competed."

I was also told a gentleman by the name of Kevin Brown was attached to the team as the founder/driver.

I got the # produced wrong as well when I said 10 made. We will be seeing a lot of pairs with exactly 6 produced. 4 and 6 seem to be common numbers.
