Hey Dan, I know of the x-metal tees that you are talking about from a few years ago. I have one of each as well. They are not the same. I have photos of the tees from 2015 in my collection, in apparel if you want to refresh your memory. - loup

Yeah, those are the ones I mean. Thanks loup.

I would be shocked if it hinted at something. I think they want to sell some shirts and backpacks.

I hope they just let the X-metal line die. I don't think Oakley can ever meet collectors' unreasonably high expectations of it (which is ironic since X-metals carry the most quality problems). - Oak

I hear ya and agree. I just wish they'd do something like it though in the sense that it's a bit higher end. Not just a pair or two but a new line.

Here's the backpack. Guessing' it's a heritage thing, and they're using old graphics for vault exclusives.

I do like that version of the X-Metal logo so I'd be open to getting a tee or two/some AFA.

I can confirm, that's just a random use of the X Metal logo on new Vault specific clothing and accessories.

Interesting. Huawei x Gentle Monster team up for smart eyewear. The styling is pretty tame for Gentle Monster:

Diff Eyewear teamed up with Marvel Studios to put out branded sunglasses over the last couple movies, Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame. While no one in the movies actually wears Diff products (characters mostly wear Randolph Engineering, Tom Ford, Persol, Initium and possibly Ray-ban), it’s interesting if you want MCU-branded stuff:

They are not especially high quality but good for display. I got the Captain Marvel. and the Avengers one is in the mail, but I wouldn’t wear them.

I don’t *think* this is a spoiler for the new Spider-Man: Far from Home movie since it’s been talked about and reported about a lot, but just in case:

SPOILER

Tony Stark’s Dita Flight 006 from the Avengers: Infinity War movie makes a return:

Dita’s My favourite eyewear brand these days, so I’m glad to see them in another MCU movie.

Inspired by the Avengers: Infinity War movie and this week’s newest footage from the new Spider-man movie, plus the opportunity of getting a pair from my regular dealer, I pulled the trigger on the Dita Flight 006:

Other things I learned about Dita glasses today:
-The Rikton - Type 402 is insane in person. Some crazy detailing on that pair. It will be my next Dita sunglass.
-The Lindstrum is awesome. Very cool subtle industrial cues to it yet retains the ability to be business casual. It will be my next ophthalmic frame.

$500 Oak for these? This is the exact pair I want too.

Yes, it’s $525 retail, but you can probably get it for sub-$400 on eBay.

In terms of frame details and aesthetics, it’s one of Dita’s more tame glasses but it wears super comfy. Like all of Dita’s stuff, the Ti used is very supple and the weight is well-balanced. There is absolutely no curve to it; the lens is either zero base or 2 base, The big attraction, of course, is the Tony Stark and MCU connection.

“The world of wearable technology is spotty, to say the least. Everyone wants accessibility without looking like a goddamn cyborg”. For most of the world this is true, but I guess the writer hadn’t talked to Oakley collectors.

Anyway, apparently Bose too has their own wireless, headphone-less sunglasses:

They have actually received pretty good reviews from some of the tech reviewers I follow. They are supposed to eventually get AR type function but with sound instead of vision.

I tried some out at best buy yesterday. Sound part is good sunglass part is trash. The display pairs were already starting to fall apart.
