Tony Stark’s Dita Flight 006 from the Avengers: Infinity War movie makes a return:

The Dita glasses in Spider-man: Far from Home are said to be very cool. The below article is a write-up of the sunglass’ importance in the movie and an interesting read. As always, it includes BIG SPOILERS so everyone should read only after watching the movie:

Those ultra-luxe $4000 Ditas coming out this month are pretty wild.

I’ll be interested in how that plays out. I didn’t think Dita had the fan base or the clout to move 200 pieces of a $4,500 eyewear or 500 pieces of a $2,000 one, seeing as how their current LEs aren’t selling out and the original Lancier line from 10 years back didn’t exactly move out the door fast because of pricing. But then again the LEs from their more high-profile pairs like the Decade Two did move, so we’ll see. Water buffalo horn seems an interesting ingredient to add into their materials profile.

After you’ve seen Spider-man: Far From Home, you’ll want the DITAs even more. What a riot of a film that one is. Action scenes were amazing and the DITAs played such an important role.

Here is a pic from a collector on a prop forum (top and left one is obviously the DITA, and the bottom and right one is a custom lens developed and offered by Initium’s president, Jason. As a note, Initium has many sunglasses worn by Tony Stark in the Marvel movies):




The DITA lenses are closer to the one seen in Infinity War; the darker blue lenses are closer to the one seen in Spider-man (though I suspect there are several variations of the lenses made for the Spider-man movie for different lighting conditions).

For both movies, I think I saw gold nosepads, which meant model # 7806-A was used (but obviously replaced with custom lenses). This makes sense since only the 7806-A was available when Infinity War and Spider-man filmed, and the other smoke grey/palladium frames came much later on.
