WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! someone brought all their display cases with them????????????????????? my god even if they lived next door to pack and then unpack all that must have taken forever. I am truely impressed! - LEX7

Well said. More than just having lots stuff, the desire to break down, move and reset-up that entire display twice over just to give collectors a chance to see his collection shows true dedication to the hobby. Much to be respected there. Meanwhile, I can't even be bothered to set up and take pictures of my collection. LOL!

Del is the real deal. Huge collection but quality and humble. He and his wife were continually grateful for the help and it was a cool experience. Heck I missed Jims speech so i could finish up the display. All the practice on my own setup paid off.

6. Warned every single one of us not to post his picture on social media or face being hunted down and beaten up to a pulp by either him or his son. (He was kidding of course but just said he is a very private person)

Thanks for the great effort Dann! I am glad you took lots of pictures to "feed our need". I feel like there was not enough time to dissect through each and every "masterpiece". This is because it was my goal to personally meet, greet and get to know a little bit about everyone. It was a truly awesome experience to meet Jim in person, shook his hand, get him to sign our stuff, and of course, get a picture with him. Also, it was nice catching up with the familiar faces, namely: Dann, Lake, Long"slim"shot, Chop, Hed, Jerrod, Jaime

Truly a fantastic event and trip, got to spent some time with old friends and new, Thanks to Anton (and the Mrs.) for everything you have a beautiful family and your hospitality and graciousness was very much appreciated. Del (and the Mrs) Josh, Cal, Garth, Mar, and everyone else it was a pleasure hanging with you guys and I look forward to more encounters with all of you in the future!

It truly is a remarkable feeling to be taken in and showered with hospitality like you are family and words cannot describe it unless you have ever been treated as such.

A special thanks goes out to Jim, Tash, and everyone at RED for hosting such a unique event!

We talked about a great many things, Elite, New watch that is sick (we saw a pic) and something entirety new that is the combination of things both old and new that is the evolution of the X-Metal's

If what we were told is true we should start to see some more of the real Oakley stuff we have come to love instead of well you know...

Great info, Jason. Everyone's dying for some of the "real" Oakley stuff and can't wait. In the meantime, that gives me an idea for a new thread.

When I was out there a few weeks ago now, Colin happened to show me all the newest greatest ideas about the new material mixture and where he wants to go with the x-metal. I word for word said to him, "Thank you for bringing back Oakley to Oakley. You gave me a new found respect for the brand and I hope that these come to life soon to bring back that widely loved history of Oakley"

I can not wait for them to come. Can't happen soon enough.

I wish I could have stayed out there for this event. Thanks to everyone who posted pics. Dann I can't wait to see what other pics you have to come.

LOL. There's better to see out there than my collection. Truthfully, all I need is more space. Once I get that and when when things are set up properly, I'm sure a spotlight will follow.
