What classification are the new masks? Do they catch virus? Breathing filter?
Are they totally sealed? If not, it's just false safety... - pastor.elfstrom

The performance filter option says:

”A high-performance, disposable filter with over 95% filtration efficiency of particles down to size of 0.3 microns..”

So they claim same performance as N95 but also state it is not certified and their disclaimer says:

“OAKLEY MSK3 is marketed for general use directly to consumers and is NOT CERTIFIED by NIOSH/CDC/NPPTL for workplace where an OSHA Compliant respiratory protection program to include Fit Testing on each individual is required. OAKLEY MSK3 is NOT CERTIFIED to EN 149 Standards. It is not a medical device and it is not a personal protective equipment. Cloth face coverings are not intended for medical use. This product does not provide antimicrobial or antiviral protection and has not been tested or qualified to prevent or reduce infections. Face masks are not a substitute for social distancing and other measures recommended to prevent virus or bacterial spread.”

Thanks! So, people, don't put yourself at risk by taking chases feeling you are safe.
I just left the ICU after 8 days with almost lethal covid 19. Multi organ failure.
But Jesus healed me, and everyone are perplexed that I recover so quickly.
Will probably walk out of here tomorrow, just 3 days after leaving the ICU!
Praise the Lord!

Glad to hear you’re on the mend, and hoping for no long term after effects.

Sadly, proper sealed masks have been near impossible to find since last February. My wife does spray tanning, and we had these nice 3M masks that worked well, but they soon disappeared, and now can't be bought since they are reserved for medical staff (naturally).

We used to be able to get those for $1, but now we have to use the N95 ones for $10 a piece, which may be fine as far as filtration, but they fit so poorly, there's no protection from the sides. Since spray tan solution is brown, you get a very good idea how much ends up bypassing the mask once you blow your nose.

I think most are not doing as much for yourself, but rather preventing the outgoing exposure. Touching items, and then touching your face is likely a bigger problem.

Sorry to hear about your experience, and I'm glad you're doing well. It seems to have such different results on each person.

Not sure why Oakley had these keychains made or if they intended it for release, but it’s an interesting item:

Here is something for you crazy collectors to chase: An MJ aluminum business card from when he was on Oakley's board of directors.

Someday I'll find the pics from the auction but in the meantime, here's the old auction. No, I don't own the card (I lost the auction); yes, the auction was won by an O Review member who still owns it:

I wish I can remember that far back. I also wish I bid $1k on it. As Robert says, it really is a steal. Perhaps not back then but with MJ collectors as fanatic as they are today, $114 is a pittance.
