If you have an original Minute, can you let me know the colorway(s) you have. Since I'm adding icon and material types to the DB, I think it would be best to break them out into their own group.

Dann I'll get back to you, but I have about 20 diff color ways of the original minutes.

The only Minute I have is the original version, in a tortoise / gold iridium colorway.

That's right, tortoise.

Thanks, I know powder blue was a common one, along with the usual Flat Black and Tortoise.

Just to confirm, I'm referring to the 1998 models with the intake port, rather than the True Metal Icons.

Ah, shit. I was already wondering if you meant the intake port ones, mine are the ones with the metal icons.

Dann, how do we know that you're not just doing recon on where all our known Gen 1s are so you can swoop in and collect them all?

I had FMJ Platinum with Gold Iridium, with the intake ports. These were probably my favorite pair of all time as far as comfort. Alas, stolen!

If I had to guess, I'd say most in the 04-08# range would be good bets. I don't have any pictures for them, some are double listed (powder has one in 04-09#), and I have many as being discontinued in 2000, which I have no idea where that info came from, but I must have gotten it somewhere.

In that case Dan, the only ones I have with intake were a tortoise and an electric purple frames

That actually confirms my theory as FMJ Electric Purple were in that range.

04-080 - 04-084 are:
Tortoise
Black
FMJ Platinum
FMJ Purple
Powder

Those match what has been said. The next one is Metallic Black, which was around on the Topcoats, so it's possible.

Cobalt is 04-088, so I'd figure FMJ 5.56, Metallic Black, and Rootbeer would also be in the Gen 1's.

The 1997 product sheet says FMJ Violet, FMJ Platinum, Powder, Tortoise, Black. I know May 1998 was the date I got from an annual report, so I don't want to doubt it, but perhaps the 1997 document was showing early releases?

Just made my morning paging through that pdf. That's the Oakley I fell in love with, from the product to the marketing.

I see Racing Jacket, Minute, but no Moons. I thought they all came out the same year due to the styling cues, but now I have my doubts.

wow, what a lineup they had in 1997! puts the current lineup to shame multiple times over. i knew today's lineup was bad compared to the past, but i just realized exactly how bad it actually is reading the pdf. Oakley was oozing creativity and excitement in 97.
