Just starting a thread to list all the O Store and Vault giveaways so we don't miss them. The $10 funny money, baseball and surf tool giveaways were awesome, and it'd be a shame for collectors to miss stuff like that.

Here's how it works: You fill out the online form. Eventually Oakley will send you a certificate by e-mail, and it tells you to visit your nearest O Store to pick it up. You end up finding out non-US stores do not get the pin. You end up disappointed and perplexed how the hosting country could not get pins to its own Olympic games. You then find someone in the US to help you.

I think I still have my coupon. If you find someone to help, I can forward it onto you so you can skip the waiting.

All I had to do was fill out a coupon in-store with my name and email addy and they just gave me one.

Dang, Will probs be difficult cos its probably be limeted to one per customer and no one will want to give theirs up!
it is very weird, Canada had the winter olympics and had those awesome totem leaf pins only avaialbe in canada, yet we get the summer olympics and the pins are only available in America, it almost sounds like an admin error!

Hopefully it will only be temporary and they'll release the pin worldwide as the Olympics get closer.

In the meantime, if you can't get help from a person in the US, I've seen collectors buy theirs off of eBay for $15-20 (as a best offer) + shipping. You can try for one of these.

For what it's worth Lex, the verbiage in the promo and what I heard in the store was all about supporting the America athletes. Based on the vibe I felt, these are exclusive to America pins because they are supposed to be tied to the US athletes. I would think that there will be another official Olympic pin, but maybe not. Anyone in the know care to confirm?

Edit: Or like Oak says, maybe they'll open it up as we get closer.

Interesting, Hong Kong LensCrafters gave out Oakley dog tags as a promotion last year:

I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but the different storefront displays should be documented somehow for posterity sake, since they're typically well done. I'm missing July-September, but here's June 2012:

Just stopped by the Sacramento O Store today and they had these gift card holders. They come with any gift card purchase of $150. I liked it so much, I bought myself a gift card.
