OK, Jawbone has been out for a couple years now, right? Split Jacket has been out for over a year, eh? Over the past few months, I have become more aware of how much I really enjoy these frames.

I don't know if it is the fit, the style, the switchlock, the awesome colorways allowed by design. Probably all of the above. But I just gotta say how much I love and appreciate both the Jawbone and Split Jacket. To me, both pairs are equally viable as both a performance and wearable eyewear.

Anyhow, just a quick gushfest for some great eyewear.

I totally agree that they are amazing performance eyewear, though I wouldn't call the JB, WJ and SpJ wearable in terms of street fashion. Awesome releases by Oakley.

finally! glad to see some love for the sport specific frames. i do have (and enjoy) a variety of frame styles, but the jb, splits, flaks, and the new fast jackets are by far, my favorites. great performance pieces!

Absolute agree. They totally fail in that sense. I've seen it on a few occasions here. They're not as acceptable as the Half/Flak/Fast Jacket, although I wouldn't wear those out in fashion terms either lol, Great sports specific release though.

As far as street fashion goes I totally disagree. BMX Chrome and the +Red of SJ are killer. I actually try to not wear my BMX as much as I want to. Plus - without the hydrophobic now, they are kinda pushed that way.

Don't want chrome on the truck, but chrome on the face looks gooooood.

As someone who wears shorts/tee anytime I'm not in work clothes in the Pacific NW - I've long given up being in command of the fashion scene. So I certainly wont lay down much of an argument on appropriate street fashion. But, personally, I find both JB and SJ perfect for a casual day's wear.

In fact, my wife makes more fun of me anytime I wear the Blades or Eyeshades.

Inspired by the new Mission: Impossible movie's modified version of the Wind Jacket (or modified SpJ, depending on how you want to look at it), I picked up a WJ today. Awesome fit. Several of us have been waiting for Oakley to put out mountaineering glasses (or at least the aesthetics of one), and WJ is a great shot at that.

The Ducati version's a disappointment, so IMO the best looking one is the Black Silver Ghost Text pair. I recommend at least trying them on if you get the chance.

I love the modified JB/Split Jacket in the MI movie pics. I'd love to have one of those. I do like the IH Split J a lot as well. That might be the one I pick up someday. Looks GREAT Ken.
