Frame: Red Oxide
Lens: +Red

Amazingly light, the frame colour is a lush, deep red and +Red lenses look great in any frame. They are suprisingly comfortable, no doubt due the light weight and use of unobtainium. Coverage at the bottom of the lens is a bit lacking but the rake coverage is excellent, the ideal all-day pair. The only thing preventing a 5 out of 5 is the lack of coverage allowing light to get through at the bottom but people with a smaller head (or puffier cheeks lol) might not notice such an issue so this is subjective I guess.

Stunningly comfortable, I agree with Terrors opinion about coverage though, the lenses aren't deep enough for a lot of faces so you get quite a bit of light through the bottom of the lenses.

The curve in the lenses actually make the most of the +red colour compared to a lot of lenses and the nosebombs make the Half Wire one of the most comfortable sunglasses, this combined with its extremely light weight and very comfy spring hinges makes them one of the best all-day sunglasses Oakley have ever made and the red oxide frame is simply stunning, best for small faces though.

Frame: Titanium
Lens: Titanium Iridium

This is something I got cuz I felt it was something I had to have. The titanium frame is so light that if it wasn't for the frame & lens being visible I would probaly forget I had them on. The spring hinge helps for comfort. It doesn't put any pressure at all. It closes just enough to stay on. Also, the unobtainium ear socks help keep them on. My only issue is that i should've purchased the xl lenses. Overall, this is a great pair.

Frame: Blue
Lens: Black Iridium

Was issued these sunglasses in Iraq, and they were great for day to day wear when not chasing down Insurgents. They are the first pair of oakleys I have ever had fit perfectly. Coverage was perfect, they did not obstruct my view, and they had the perfect amount of darkness to the lenses for the bright desert sun. Also never had a problem with them slipping around or anything.

The Half Wire represented Oakley's entry into the semi-rimless sunglass market. Of the three color combos available upon release, this was my favorite since the +Red Iridium complimented the frame color very well. Highlights of the Half Wire included reduced weight due to the semi-rimless design as well as spring hinges for increased comfort. Unobtainium nosebombs and earsocks completed the shades, along with the accent of true metal icons. The only drawback was the somewhat limited eye coverage, so those with larger faces would probably opt for shades with a larger lens.

light weight. used for decent occassions but dont play hard with it. it might fall off. saw it on Dog the bounty hunter worn by his son so I bought 1

Frame: Silver

I love these, this is probably going to be on my next list to have. The frame is lightweight and the color combo is awesome, I might have to think twice though, maybe the Blue/Black Iridium combo.

Frame: Blue
Lens: Black Iridium

Very cool color option. The blue almost looks purple. My big filipino head probably contributed to the horrible fit of these on me. I didn't get very good eye coverage at all. I was also not a very big fan of the look after I put them on. I would say these are more ideal for smaller-medium sized heads. The frame is very lightweight.

Frame: Red Oxide
Lens: +Red Iridium

These aren't that bad. The lenses are really cool just like any +Red in my opinion. The frame was real light weight. I didn't get as much eye coverage as I would like but I guess that is expected of these. I got the Half Jackets after these and I think those are a much better alternative.

I don't like the look of +Red on me. Pink isn't a big favorite. The frames are great though.

Frame: Dark Carbon
Lens: Gold Iridium

Great everyday pair. the Gold Iridium is very comfortable on bright days. Great frame color too. I've receieved some great complements on them. I'm putting these through for a "tune-up" through Oakley I like them so much. They are a tad heavy after wearing them all day.

Frame:Silver

I was never really interested in the half-wire line. But after trying one on, I think they are a pretty sweet pair. They seem like they would fit just about everyone pretty well, and have an edge to the look. I like it.

I really like these except I think they are a tad spendy. I do like them however, and they happened to fill a "red" need in my collection. I have the first gen with nosebombs instead of pads. I think the give them a better Oakley look. Very comfortable and cool looking, but they've never looked as good as they did on Jessica Biel in Trinity. She can borrow my pair anyday!!!!

Frame: Red Oxide
Lens: +Red Iridium

I think these are the ones that Jessica Biel wore in "Blade Trinity" and they look fantastic on her. As far as how they look on us regular folk, they fit as well as any other spring-hinge wire frame.

But for whatever reason, compared to my E-wire 2.1s, they look small on my face so I'd better off with the Half Wire XLs, since the provide better coverage anyway. Unfortunately, these are the only ones available in this particular color.

Frame: Dark Carbon
Lens: Gold Iridium

One of the few remaining styles in the Oakley line-up that is available in a Dark/Black with Gold Iridium combination. Like my other pair, this one is also a Gen 1 with the Mars-style nosebombs that I prefer over the newer, clear nosepads.

Frame: Black Carbon

I think these pair of glasses is great, the lens color is grat, and the best is that they area a pair of stilish, classy and at the same time sport glases for a serious person like me...

I don't see anything special in them except maybe the nose piece. I'd choose the half jacket over this anytime even thought I like metal frames over plastic. Maybe the fat earstem towards the end make it looks a bit nicer but nah!

Frame: Red Oxide
Lens: +Red Iridium

Like some other styles, I had to try these a few times before I realized I liked them. The pair I have are what I call "Gen 1" with the Mars-style Unobtainium nosebombs mounted directly to the frame. I prefer these to the smaller clear nosepads on the newer Half Wires.

Red Oxide is a deep, metallic red with a glossy finish. Unfortunately, this is the only style offered in this color. +Red is nice to look at since it changes colors at different angles, but it is nothing special to look through... just a grey/blue tint.

The frames are relatively lightweight considering the sculpted styling, and the spring hinges have just enough tension to hold tight without pinching your head. Overall, a real nice pair of shades.

Frame: Red Oxide
Lens: +Red Iridium

I pretty much bought this out of impulse. I saw them before, awhile ago, but didn't see them anymore at the store where I work. I sold a pair of the blue framed/black iridium lenses to a buddy of mine, and he can't shut up about how much he likes them. So, he got me in the mood, but I wanted the red pair!

So, I finally saw them at a nearby department, and picked them up. First off, the +Red iridium lens is killer. From different angles, the lens appears to be blue, then red, or yellow. It's pretty crazy, but not too wild. As for fit, they are great. The bottom rimless style of the Half Wire gives it a lightweight feel, and the nosebombs fit comfortably enough not to give red marks above my nose like an A or C wire does.

The Half Wire is a great pair of Oakleys because of how lightweight they feel, and plus the +Red iridium lens is just so unique, you will be sure to get some compliments! I only gave them a 4 out of 5, because at the new current price point of the Half Wires ($175), you should expect them to be polarized, but that's just me.
