Weight 36 grams. I bought the Rust Decay version heavily discounted from an outlet store in Melbourne. They, of course are no different to any polarized rust Fuel Cell, but are 3-6 times the price. They feel nice and tight on my big noggin (59 cm circumference head). The arms fold in nice and tight and the front part of the frame even has cutouts for the arms to fold into. It's a nice touch. There are no nose or arm pieces which means they're not as comfortable to wear. Eye coverage is excellent and because the arms are so wide, side light is not an issue at all. I didn't buy the Asian Fit version, so these will "rest" on some cheeks if you're Asian.
The rust decay finish is very nice. I was a little concerned that pieces may "flake off" and damage the lens if you're cleaning them, but this is not the case (at least not for the last 3 months I've had them). Every pair seems to be slightly different due to the variability in the rusting process.
Appearance wise, only aficionados will be able to spot the difference between "rust coloured" and "rust painted" sunglasses, but it is nice to have ownership of a (hopefully) unique pair of sunglasses. I suspect that the square rusted metal vault case they came in will outstrip the value of these glasses in time to come.
Frame: Polished Brown Smoke
Lens: Dark Bronze
I got my Fuel Cell pre loved for about$75 last 23 April. I'm used to wearing my Monster Dog which I thought have wide lenses but when I got my Fuel Cell, they were even wider. I came to love my Fuel cell and I like the way they offer some protection to the periphery of your eyes.
To bad my 15 year old son also liked it very much so I only am able to wear them when my son's not using any glasses (which is very seldom).
Frame: Don Pendleton Artist Series
Lens: Warm Grey
These are probably the coolest looking artist series frames I have. Usually the fuel cell has the polished arms with the matte finish in the middle. These are the reverse! The artwork actually feels like they painted it themselves. It is rough and you can actually feel the lines. The artwork itself is beautiful. I love my London Police Gascan's, but the artwork on these blow those away!
On to the actual glasses themselves. The fit is absolutely terrible for Asian Faces. I have a Medium sized head, and it isn't that they look too big; the nose piece in the middle just doesn't close tightly enough and isn't jutting out like some other Asian fit glasses. That's the only reason I'm actually able to wear the normal Gascan's. The arm's are extremely comfortable. They wrap real nicely and don't put pressure like the Gascan's do. It's a real shame these don't fit correctly. It's a beautiful piece and to any collection. I'm surprised how easy these are to find still. Any collector should really grab them while they can!
Fuel Cell LIVESTRONG Edition.
I don't know why almost everybody says "lenses fog up" like they think its cool. I've never had any Oakley lens fog up no matter what I'm doing. Lenses do attract skin oil and is difficult to remove. Dust is also a small tedious problem. Left eye lens has "LIVESTRONG" engraved. Lenses are perfect for very bright days, but indoors or low light, these are darker than a ************. Frame is comfortable. I don't have a small head but not a large either, so there are some days where the fit can be tight around the ears. I'm thinking it could be from the frame pulling on my hair. Played golf in these and had no problems with them sliding down my nose. Definitely a great style if you don't want the curve appeal of the hijinx or need more space then the gascans.
Frame: Polished White/England Icon
Lens: Ruby Iridium
I bought these at Melbourne Airport, and got a very good price. At the time I thought they were a better fit for me than Gascans, but after a couple a weeks and numerous photos, they are too big for me. Lovely glasses, really nice to be patriotic but subtle, but my head is a tad too small for these. You big headed people will be very impresses.
Frame: Troy Lee
Lens: Black Iridium
First of all, I love the fact that Oakley is finally replacing the gascan. The fuel cell is WAY better than the gascan in every way. It fits much better to my face, it looks way better, and the art work stands out beautifully. The only down fall is that it sits so close to my face my eyelashes touch the inside of the lenses.

Frame: white
Lens: black
I thought these would look too much like my hijinx on my face but they still have a distinguished look compared to the hijinx they are not as bulky on the sides and fit the look of the skinnier faced person
Frame: Canvas Fuel Cell (Limited Edition)
Lens: Grey/Black Iridium
Why hasn't the Limited Edition Canvas Fuel Cell been added to this site? They are awesome.
Frame: Clear
Lens: Violet Iridium
Nice color combination of the lens and frame. Really fits me well for a big head like me.
Head turner! Nice one Oakley!
Frame: Polished Clear
Lens: Violet Iridium
I bought this pair because after trying them on at the store, I realized, I have nothing like it. The majority of my collection are "jacket-type" glasses. This squared off look is somewhat oldschool, but contemporary because of the color scheme.
They fit surprisingly well. They do tend to slide on my face since there are no unobtainium parts at all, esp on the ear stems and nose bridge. So if I start sweating, they start moving. To its credit, these weren't meant for sporty activities, therefore it functions as intended for "fashion" or driving purposes. They also don't squeeze the head like a jacket does.
I gave it a 4 because they do tend to fog up a bit. I'm not sure if these lenses are Hydrophobic... I don't remember if I removed an H sticker when I bought it. They also tend to get skin oil faster than my other pairs. Wiping them clean is also more difficult because of the deeper recess cavity of the lens.
Still, overall, a head turner and cool design, esp in this color scheme.
Frame: Matte Black Custom
Lens: VR28 Black Iridium
I love these glasses! Get tons of compliments on these frames. They are my favorite plastic framed Oakleys! They are comfortable and the lens are great. Highly recommend this frame to those that like a larger set of glasses with full coverage.
Frame: Tortoise
Lens: Bronze Polarized
From the lens coverage, to the fit, this is an oversize version of the Gascan with, as Ian said, some rounded edges like the Hijinx/Antix. Like the Gascan, the shape will look good on most people. People with smaller heads should probably stick with the Gascan or Gascan S, but if you want a larger look or more coverage this could be a good option.
The fit is also a mix of the Gascan and Hijinx. It has the width of the Hijinx, but the earpieces are shorter and don't curve as much. For people who don't like a tight fitting sunglass this could be plus, but they may have a tendency to slide like the Gascan if you are very sweaty.
There are some nice features on the frame. Some pairs have a mix of polished and matte finishes. It would be cool to see some 2-tone frames in the future. How 'bout a black or grey Ducati edition with a red insert on the side.
Overall the finish and durability is excellent as with most o-matter frames. The coverage and optical clarity is great. If the Gascan is a 4.5 these are a 4, because the larger size makes them less versatile.
Frame: polished black
Lens: warm grey
Just got these in today. They feel extremely light for something this size. They are much more comfortable and fit better than the Gascans. A new, modern and nice look. The matte and polished combo on the earstems adds uniqueness to these beauties. Work of art. Thanks Oakley.
Frame: Polished White/Polished Clear
Lens: Black Iridium/Violet Iridium
They're cool enough. I bought two pairs as soon as I was able to find them. I haven't been disappointed. They're obviously an evolution to the Gascan, and responses from people trying mine have been overly positive. They have a taller and wider orbital than the Gascan, so for a larger face, they're much better. They're right in-between the Gascan and the Hijinx when it comes to both size and shape. In fact, it's like to designer took a picture of both and hit "merge" to come up with the Fuel Cell. The aspect of them that I appreciate most is fairly subtle: The ear stems on many of the models have both polished and matte finishes. Like I said, subtle, probably not a selling point, but as far as I know, this is the first example of Oakley doing such a thing.
In retrospect, they really remind me of the Tens...
