I've been following this thread and decided to give it a try despite my limited skills and resources.

My Splice was given to me by a friend who lost interest in it because of scratches all over its lenses and frame. I replaced the Grey lens with Deep Red Ruby Iridium and spray painted its Matte Black upper frame with Bronze-Gold quick drying acrylic paint last night and here's the result:






I'm not sure if I have done it right but I like the results anyway. In case I decide to change the color, can I use ordinary paint thinner?

Here's my Gascan bought last 04 May 2015. It was bought pre-loved but it is practically Mint-In-Box. It is being sold for about $148 in our local retailers but I got it only for $74. :-)
