As it turns out, the clip is free to slide around, so even thought the hole was off laterally, it still fits fine. Huzzah!

So last night I tried to drill the hole in my standard heaters, while placing a ballistic hybrid on top. Since the two are quite a different shape, I failed to line up the drill properly and the hole was off by a significant distance. Just a warning. I had no problem using two hybrids BTW.

After heater which do you think offers the best protection, hybrid or strike?

Was thinking of getting this for my girlfriend. Is it too big for a girl? How easy to use are the timer and stopwatch functions? Is it difficult to be exact with the analog display? She has trouble reading analog clocks, and I'm hoping this will get her over that silly handicap.

Which lenses would make up your choice m-frame array? I have the ballistic m-frame and currently have amber polarized, clear, and grey. The amber polarized is my favorite lens ever. It cuts light intensity while increasing contrast, making it more than suitable for a wide range of lighting conditions, and I enjoy the way polarized lenses practically eliminate glare (like on car windows.) I hear that non-polarized lenses are desirable for some applications, like cycling, because they make broken glass and other hazards more visible. The clear would only be needed in the dark, like cycling or working at night. I do like black polarized for super bright light, and for the ambiguity.

I drilled the hole in a polarized lens and it fit perfectly with the clip and did not create any distortion. The hole size is 1/8". I "match drilled" by placing the ballistic lens over the regular lens and drilling through the existing hole. Neither lens was damaged in the process. You might want to debur each side of the hole by taking a few turns with a slightly larger bit, but it's not necessary.

I finally bought a pair. They definitely work, but the difference in shade is not very noticable. I will say that I can see with them fine both inside and outside in the sun.

Not to add insult to injury, but I've had some great experiences with oakley customer service. I remember one time I ordered a pair brand new from the factory. A UPS box was delivered and I opened it to find... air. The service rep at oakley said the UPS guys often rip the sunglasses out and tape up the box. They sent me a new pair, no hassle or charge!

Although, that was a few years ago. Sorry to hear they are being careless with your babies. For shame!!!

I tried the HI blues on the bike at night and they worked quite well. There were reflections, but they did not inhibit my visibility to any significant degree. I shall try the clear lenses soon.

I saw the same green flares and reflections with my HI blues.

so... ordered clear M-frames (heater) which should be here tonight!

I ordered hi blues, because that was the only high transmission lense I could find (could not find clear or HI yellow), but now I see the reflective images and it kind of bothers me. I'd like to try a clear or HI yellow to see the difference.

Just eye protection.
