Howdy folks, just logged in after what seems like forever and finally Oakley have got their finger out and released the Half-X. To be honest, I wondered why they bothered. It's an abortion of a design and a complete waste of X-Metal. It's just a metal half jacket update. I hated the R2 but to be honest, when put next to this POS, I am really starting to dig the R2.

Peace out.

Those pins with the sleeves are a bitch to remove. My Omega Planet Ocean has the same sort of pins and even pin removal tools have difficulty pushing them out. It's best to take it to a jeweller who has a special punch to get them out.

I really hope they have the hammers, that would give them that extra sumpin' sumpin'
You said it Rick.

sumpin' 1 - Left Hammer earstem
sumpin' 2 - Right Hammer earstem

I don't think that blame is a good word, I think we should thank Ichiro for bring out a new J style. He could have picked the new x metal and then we would have no new J combo.
But we would have a new x-metal.

Thinking about it, he is wearing a 24k Juliet in those pics. TiO2 Juliets don't have hammer stems. What gives?

It is a cool display piece but I personally think it looks down right tacky when worn(XX) unless you wear a lot of gold clothing, and I don't do that for sure.
That is not true. I wear them with a cream linen suit, a brown leather jacket or even khakis. 24k frames will go with anything that is brown, cream or off white or yellow. Basically, anything in that tonal palette.

So does this mean we can blame Ichiro?

Did TiO2 come with hammer stems? I'm surprised too that Ichiro chose that combo. I would have hoped for a polished/ruby combo or a polished/titanium combo with some funky rubber. Even a 24k/slate would have looked cool.

Still, I'm in anyway. This could be the swansong of the Juliet.

Sadly, this husband is filthy rich, controlling, scheming, has many wives and has a history of turning these wives into cheap whores.

Thanks for the laugh anyway Tick.

Dann, you have the most hardcore beard I've ever seen on a man under 50. Kudos.

The deposit is the minerals in the water.

Try licking a q-tip and giving it a good scrub.

The rate things are going I'd put better odds of Elvis being found alive than seeing a new X-Metal any time this decade. I'm not holding my breath.

Juliet Polished G30 and also (non-Oakley related) a baseball bat for those days when you need a little extra assertiveness ;-).

When is the Berlin store opening and what is the drill for getting one of these things? Is it like an invite only party or can anyone show up, plonk a fistful of crisp Euro notes down on the counter proclaiming "Good man, I'll like one of your very finest C100 Gascans, if you don't mind, thank you very much"?

It was a fake 'courier' company that was supposed to pick up both the equipment I was selling and the overpayment. I acted like a schmuck and let their greed take over. I ended up turning them over, lol.

It's called the overpayment scam and is usually run by Nigerian scam artists to supplement the old 'advance fee' scam they also run. They are well organised and even had representatives locally. I was sent a counterfeit cheque for a piece of equipment once and it was for £1000 over the price of the goods. They wanted the overpayment in cash, so I told them they would have to pick it up. I them arranged to meet them at an agreed location with some of my lads hidden in the back of a van and they experienced a bit of oriental payback and I ended up about £500 better off.

I would imagine G30's would be good at enhancing contrast but then I suppose it would depend on the surface you are playing on.

I initially thought 'Foakley' but looking at the pics more they seem pretty legit with the box, paperwork and microbag. Any ideas? I can't stand Gascans but these don't half look bad.

I've never liked the Gascan but these actually don't look half bad. The box, bag and paperwork look like the real deal but that colorway...

Goes to show the G30 lense is the best golf lense out there. Now if only they helped you play like Tiger Woods...
