I initially thought 'Foakley' but looking at the pics more they seem pretty legit with the box, paperwork and microbag. Any ideas? I can't stand Gascans but these don't half look bad.

easy way to tell is put another box that is the same you know you bought for real and check the codes/patents/version/revision dates on the back, and check the warranty papers also. The fakes always look more "pixeled" or grainy that the originals, and the microbag is one. The bag on those looks to have a normal sized bag (the white stringed one) with a black string. They usually do that and the string is thinner than a normal black string with loose ends (not melted together) Hope this helps

Although the string on the microfibre bag is a little long, which usually screams FAKE, the problem is that custom ordered Gascan with White frame, Ice lenses and Blue logo looks quite similar as pictured.

That to me looks like it is an FMJ type frame. So i'd say fake.

Oldest fake gascan out there. They pop up once in a while. Very convincing, but those who have bought them out of curiosity and seen them in person, have immediately noticed the difference. Pictures don't tell the whole story on this one sadly.

Pop out the lenses of this frame and an orriginal Gascan. It wouldn't surprise me if the frame looks different where it holds the lens.

Aside from the fake ones, there are some genuine fmj gascans out there.

The best way to tell if a gascan is fake. If the arms are close behind the lenses. Look in the hinge area, that would usually be covered by the arm. There should be a rectangle shaped hole about 5mm x 1mm. Fakes dont have this!

Originally Longshot's pic.

Like obsession said, that colour was produced in a limited number.

seeing that Tyler lives in SoCal and is probably a stones-throw away from HQ, i'm pretty sure he meant that as the factory, and they don't dish out fakes. i wouldn't be surprised if there is such a miniscule difference, it could be from an updated mold; there is such a thing as variations... maybe this one can be listed in the Variations page. i guess we'll just have to wait until Tyler confirms.
