Those were a set of darker red blades. There's another shade of red that's a bit brighter that I managed to get a pair of:

Thanks guys. Anybody that wants one just message me and I can make them up for you. It's mad of matteboard, which is kind of like a really thick construction paper or cardstock. So they have a texture to them, which I think is pretty cool.

Hey Guys,
I've been busy with some rather unique oakley projects recently. I drew up a few displays on a vector drawing program and hooked it up to a laser, which marked and cut the images. I managed to make up a few old school zero advertisements which are going to look awesome in the tower. Hope you enjoy them!

I was considering looking at cutting a set of oakley crowbar or splice lenses and potentially making some lenses from it. I figured they might be more flexible than sunglass lenses. So, if anyone has any experience with these lenses, can you press the lens completely flat without damaging it any way? If you removed the inner lens would it make it any more flexible? I figured to cut it accurately I would press it flat. This is still a hypothetical project and I was just wondering. Anybody have experience or know anything about the lenses? Thanks in advance.

I have never done any cutting lense myself, but an idea just popped into my head. Though it would be sacrelige to cut a vintage m frame heater or slash lens, would the lens possibly be cut down into the size of a zero .3 or .2 lens? It just popped into my head and the prospect of re creating those dennis rodman zero .3's might be possible. I am just wondering if the lenses have similar curvatures and also if the heater or slash would be big enough to cut a zero .3?

I'd say definitely in the range of $800,000-$1,500,000 at this point ;)

What a shame! I wonder if they would have honored the prices if only a few o-reviewers had noticed it.

Already emailed him. He figured out how rare they are so I settled for around $650 for them.

nice work jono! So for the brushing I used some testors paints, but to make them work in the gun I had to thin them down quite a bit. So after thinning them it took multiple coats. The splatter was applied with a variety of brushes, and then I clear coated the whole thing a few times to get it glossy. If you were looking for me to do any I'd be glad to! Just send me a PM and we can work it out.

Thanks for the props guys. It means a lot!
@Bigcob and jono: I painted these using several layers. Initially I airbrushed the flouro pink and yellow colors and afterwards splattered the frame by hand. The icons were quite a job. I brushed them white first, then the blue because the original black icons were too dark. It took a lot of acetone to fix what I had messed up :) But the end result is very very cool. I am working on a new pair of razors that will be even more nuts! There are some very cool paints to use out there.

Hot off the press: Splatter 2005 Razorblades. Took a lot of layers but came out very nicely: They were originally a white frame. Hope you like them!

Very nice Romeos! I bet those things are all pretty much spoken for by now. And the Neon Yellows are classic. Still my favorite frogskins by far.

Yea clue me in too. How can you tell they are fake? They even have the correct sku# printed inside the earpiece.

Yeah those look really boring. Honestly I'm just pumped for the lenses coming out in the glow in the dark series - 24k and fire lenses! I will definitely be making up some sweet custom pairs with those lenses.

Just saw on the facebook page for frogskins there was some series of tortoise frames coming out. Can anybody confirm this? It seemed like they were going to offer some legit lenses with them as well.

For sale is a pair of really nice Romeo 1's. The frame is mint, it is a super low serial - #000355. There are some custom lenses in them that are mint as well. The only thing missing is the rubber earsocks, but those can be replaced easily. It comes with an original black case as well. I am looking to do some sort of a trade for a few possible items. I am looking for a mint fire iridium slit lens, a mint 0.3P, or also a pair of original splatter razor blades. Let me know if you have any of these as they are all high on my priority list. Message me if you are interested!

So I know many people on this blog check ebay quite a bit, myself included. I was just curious, in your experiences, what is the most fickle oakley product in terms of prices? My vote so far has to go to grips - they are a cool vintage piece that can fetch a lot, but for some reason they can fluctuate a lot from week to week. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon with other Oakley products?
