Hi guys, I've lost the waistband button to a pair of my Oakley cargo shorts and wanted to find an O replacement to keep them original if possible. I know a button is just a button but you guys know the need to keep it OEM. Being in the UK I've tried Oakley UK and the UK thread on O-Review with no success. Does anyone know where I can get the metal buttons for these?
Thanks

Does anybody in the UK know where I can get some Oakley buttons for my cargo shorts? I lost the waistband button and wanted to use an O button if possible but Oakley UK doesn't deal with apparel spares only sunglass spares.

For those of you wanting the wind jacket gasket kit it's now on the UK Oakley site for £17 with free shipping. A lot less than some of the rip off ebay merchants.

I haven't posted for ages but thought I would as it's a UK thread. Rubens can be a bit crap to be honest. They often have stuff on the website but not in stock. I've had that happen a few times. Eyewear outlet is good and efficient with some great deals.
I have recently got a couple of protection hoodies from
http://www.bargainboards.co.uk/ and they have some good prices.
For board shorts and walk shorts (30% off at the moment) I use
http://www.iboardshorts.com/ and it's sister site for bags
http://www.ibackpacks.co.uk/
A UK thread is a great idea BTW.

I was just looking at the Be like no other page on the Oakley website and it got me thinking. On there you see people showing off their custom glasses with different lenses showing you what they look like when they are being worn. Sure we all know what black and fire iridium look like on but what do others look like? If you don't have a local store to look at the lenses and can only order online you may not know what the differences are. I love Oakley products but I'm not an aficionado so don't know for sure the differences in some lenses. For instance what are the actual differences of the looks of G30 and G40? On the Oakley site they look very similar but how different are they on?
I think we should have a thread or part of this site showing pictures of the actual lenses being worn. It should be a factual thread or part of the site and not just for PW's lol.
What do you guys think of this? If it hasn't already been done however.

Thanks for the offer I will keep that in mind if I'm in the market for a custom micron. I have a couple of large compressors which have a tank and a larger cfm as I also use spray guns for larger work. The only downside is that they can be quite loud when they kick in.

Iwata are good brushes but a little over priced, I used DeVilbis before those but I've never used Badger. I'd consider a custom micron but I'm not sure if there'a any real siginificant improvement in performance to warrant that sort of price. But considering that it costs only a little bit more than my X Metals maybe the price isn't so bad lol

I use Iwata brushes with a 0.3 needle for detail and a 0.5 for larger areas. I also us various erasers and scalpels for removing paint for highlights etc.

An old trick that is used to put on bicycle grips to the handlebars is to use hairspray. It evaporates and then sticks the rubber in place so it should work on unobtanium.

Fred if anyone is interested in a custom helmet or other custom stuff then just contact me here or at my site, www.gw-designs.co.uk. My next projects are going to be some of my mountain bike frames and my wakeboard so I'm gonna have to think what design I'm going do on them.

Matt the inspiration was to make it look like something Oakley would produce, kinda industrial with riveted metal and then adding wires underneath to give it a robotic scientific look. The rest of the design came from me and the shape of the helmet, accentuating the intake and exhaust ports making them look more functional than just cooling down your head lol. The warning triangle was printed on water slide decal paper using a laser printer. It's then cut out and put into water and when it has soaked for a while the backing slides off leaving a thin decal. It's a lot like the decals you get with model aircraft and the like but you can produce your own designs. Once the design is finished and the decal is in place the whole helmet is then clear coated to protect it. Ollie I'm not that far away from Cologne really.
