Yes, that sucks. On the positive side, your glasses (should) have two serial numbers. :)

Can someone tell me what are these. They are made of rubber and my wife says she got it with a bunch of old zeroes and eyeshade.
I tried putting it on a zero and it fits OK. Thanks

Thanks for the warm welcome. I do miss everyone here.
Oliver, half of it' my wife already used on Oakley clothes etc. :)
And this one is for hoots. I only need to get the clip. Four of my Mars' clips cracked for no reason while they are on display.

Glad to see old and new names and faces. Being out of circulation for almost a year feels like I'm back to a new world. Got to catch-up a lot.
I received some things from members here. My wife forgot who send me the posters/banners. Could you please send me a message.
Anyway, I missed all you guys... time to break my wallet again :)

why do everybody's afraid is the serial number is fading? even if it does, it will still be engraved in the metal. below is a picture of the romeo that I polished. Though I didn't polish to mirror shine the part where the SN is, I removed the plasma coating and polish it. It's shiny and I can't see the SN unless I angle it a bit. It so faint maybe because of the reflections. Look at the pic (macro) below, it is still there.

Yes, it's easy to recognize it as fake with the wallet, but if you see only the clip, it's almost the same. I even weighted them and it's almost the same.
Got it for $10 wallet&clip. Seller told me where he got the clips, a friend drop by the area and found them for $3.
Apr 25, 2006 11:56 PM
The seller is not selling them as oakleys but when I asked what kind of money clip he is going to include if i use BIN option, he told me it's an oakley replica. Bought it just to check how it looks like.
The wallet, you can easily distiguish from quality (and the label) that it's not oakley but the clip looks the same unless you have one to compare, it will pass as original to untrained eyes. I remove it from the wallet, mixed it with two of my clips and asked my friends to pick the one they think is a replica. Of the seven people I asked, only one got it right.
