Well the HVX-200 only gives you HD, which is 1920x1080 and has lossy compression, while Red would give you a lossless compression and about 4000 pixels on the long side. Depends on the need of the commercial. HD should hold up on most people's TV sets, as they're used to SD (720x480). Once resized you wouldn't tell the difference too much unless they're exploiting the large sensor for a more pleasing background or hoping to get a true slow motion with Red's upper limit of 125 fps rather than 30.
