A lot of tasty and almost irresistible items up and coming up soon. Seems like the members of o-review promote, are great consumers, and possibly make up a somewhat sizable portion of the tangible Oakley market.

soo...since we are so great..and we buy up everything Oakley... and well without us Oakley would not exist,(...just kidding Mr. Oakley sir):

I was wondering if there ever has been and organized o-review group sale/deal, so we can get things at an o-review member discounted rate. ie. someone gets a deal for like 15 C-6s at like $700 (or less please) each and we all jump in.

would be nice.

Judging from attempts to get an official O-Review pair, it's usually not gone terribly well.

Oakley did offer a small bulk purchase discount, but I am not sure the program still exist. Tipicaly you had to order somewhere in the vicenity of 100 or more of the exact same item. It can't be new items, or limited editions. You also have to sign some legal paperwork stating that the items will not be resold.

This is how they sell to company's for employee gifts, large sports organizations stuff like that.

The hard part is the fact that they all have to be the same.

Until/Unless Oakley decides to create some sort of consumer VIP program with a flat % off or special pricing, I just don't see anything really happening (despite how justifiable your idea may seem).

The o-review sure seems to garnish some respect from Oakley, but mostly in regards to information, knowledge and a core/fanatic viewpoint. But as a buying powerhouse, I just don't think we have the numbers to command it. We just don't buy enough black/brown/grey/bronze colorways that are really driving sales.

If only Oakley would offer a credit card and some accompanying program to reward peeps like us. A free fancy microbag here and there wouldn't hurt!

What? You mean you guys aren't getting the "I know the O-Whores Discount"?

I'll need to have a talk with someone up there in HQ!

I think that discount will be easier to come by once you guys nail down the wedding details to have the ceremony/reception at HQ.

Believe me, buddy! We've been trying! Sent about two emails after the event, hadn't heard anything back. So we're gonna make one more attempt before calling it a wash. =(

Oh, and by the way, Outback asked for validation of your authority.

Did you not show them a pic of Mike!?!?

Good lord, to the stereotypical American he's a regular Crocodile Dundee!!

I felt pretty bad for the Outback staff. If it wasn't for the beer, I think Mike would have laid it all out pretty clearly for them. I guess anything called 'Alice Springs Chicken' may not be traditional Aussie grub.

Well the Ducati Spot became a dealer in order to get the group buy thing going. Basically they ordered up 25 pairs to get started and sold them to everyone at the wholesale price. Then they started selling to members at a discount after that.

Check the thread at http://www.ducati848.net/forum/showthread.php?t=17533.

Maybe somehow O-Review can become a dealer??

I am sure that if they get busted doing that, they will loose their wholesale contract, and the way Inc. watches this place we would never get away with it.
