I am streamlining my collection in anticipation of my family growing by one.

I have a piece which will probably be of great interest to american buyers.

My question is, when is the best time to schedule the end of an auction for the USA.

Here in the UK it is supposedly Thursday lunchtime or Sunday at about 7pm.

You bloody americans have made it that bit harder by having different time zones.

Any advice?

well, you have to make sure that both the east and west coast can see it at the same time given the 3 hour difference. Days I am not sure of, but time is good in early evening 6pm PST so it would be 9pm EST...Sundays are good, Wednesdays are also good...It wouldn't happen to be one of the UK Union Jack Flag metal icons would it???

I have done some good deals on the review but this place is for the love of the O and I am in a position where I need to get every last penny out of this and, to be honest, I would feel a little awkward trying to do that here. A good chunk of my collection is already on the bay. The only reason I brought this pair up here is because I know it is in demand in the states (As far as I know, from what I last read)

All I will say is it is my only pair of O Matter frames. I like having a pair of O Matter frames and as a quick and dirty replacement I scored a pair of minutes but they arrived with a broken arm.

Just to show what kind of place this is, fellow O-Reviewer Nalong saved the day by offering to send me a pair of replacement earstems for the princely sum of $0.

I dont want this to come across as a sneaky way of advertising my wares. So I will not say anymore.

Re Reading my last post I think I come across as a bit of a moocher, taking the good from the review but not giving any love back.

I will of course do anything I can to help out a fellow o-reviewer. If there is an item you need from a UK seller who wont ship to your country, just let me know if I can be of assistance. And if there is anything else you think I could help out with just float your idea and I will see if I can help.

If you ever come across any Dutch or German ebayers that dont speak English, I would also be happy to offer a free and smiley translation service.

Not to worry OTT, in an off-topic way you did a good job of encompassing one of the guiding principles of the o-review: For community, not for profit.

Nonetheless, I'll start the bidding at $50.

And for what it's worth, I've never given Sunday much credit for garnishing good ebay prices. I've alwyays seen the weekend as good deal times. But take that with a grain of salt, since I haven't been very active on ebay for a couple years. Maybe good to avoid having it end during Memorial Day holiday weekend, though.
