After enjoying reading the "Your Latest Purchase" thread and seeing all the cool Oakley Stuff we've all been getting, I thought it would be nice if we had somewhere to share and show some of the other stuff we may have purchased in our liives.
It could be anything that you feel you just gotta tell someone/US about.

Here's mine:
I recently picked up this awesome 3D SPIDERMAN Poster. I plan to have it framed and matted plus if possible aquire a signed Toby Mcguire Photo to go into the matting as well.

Nice poster, Mike.

Other than food, I haven't purchased anything else in awhile... no money left after buying Oakleys.

I'll probably have a new camera as soon as I get paid next. I'll definitely demo that here.

I just picked up a few new vintage styled dress shirts in the last week and a nice storm jacket. All non O. And an Iron. I can't have wrinkled shirts.

Just got a mini mag lite triple set, a pair of quiksilver board gloves and a leatherman wave. Got them brought over from the states. The wave alone would have cost me £90 here!

Probably the Canon Power Shot Pro 1, that I was looking at a while back. Maybe a few additional lenses like the macro.

Hey Phil, got a favorite at the moment? Astonishing X-men is proving to be a good read so far

How are the X-men nowadays. I stopped about the time Gen-x was created and Wolverine was turning into a speechless beast because his adamantium skeleton wasn't hold his mutanting bones in shape.

There have been so many revamps since then. Only now with writers like Grant Morrison, Mark Millar, Joss Whedon and the return of Chris Claremont is it really appealing again. Not that it hasn't always been a top book. Myself, I actually haven't read it since before when you mention except to check out small arcs, but now I am reading Astonishing X-Men written by Joss Wedon and Wolverine since Romita Jr started drawing it and they're real good. As for certain parts of the X past that they refer to in the new book I am so in the dark.

Ordered it, then realized they had it at the Apple Store. Drove over there like a bat out of hell, picked up a couple. Luckily they had a few left..(I'm gonna keep the order so I can use them as gifts)

About the X-men..the storyline isn't over the top and confusing anymore. They have a great storyline that's being written by Joss Whedon (The guy who wrote Buffy). It involves the core X-men and not the whole X-men Universe. I guess you can say its more similar to the X-men pre-Jim Lee.

Luckily the X family is in 3 main teams, with nothing crossing over right now. Prof X is off in England with X-Calibur so Cyclops and the White Queen lead the Astonishing Team, Storm and Night Crawler have another (Uncanny) which acts like a mutant police force, and Havok has the third with Gambit and Rogue. Sadly Wolverine does jump between them all and his own title. Colossus is also back from the dead and Jean Grey is dead.

Wizard did a good break down wher everyone is right now for the new year. Maybe I can scan it an post it for you.

How can Jean Grey be dead if Phoenix is to be born. Guess they'll figure something out, but they need to get cracking, since there isn't much time before the 'future' arrives. I think there's only 10 years left before we see the likes of Bishop and the end of the world.

I was big into it from when Colossus went bad, Wolverine had his metal ripped out, up through the big alternate universe when Professor X died in the past and magneto took control, then everything was fine again, but some characters survived the time fix like the evil Beast. At some point Marvel and DC merged, but they seemed to abandon that. I still have some comic and trading cards from that.

I really should go through my stuff in the attic, and A) look through it, and B) get it out of the extreme temperatures so they don't get ruined. I'm already noticing some of my cards getting acidic.

Ever hear of Power Pachederms, one of those silly titles that lasted one issue. All the x-men are replaced by elephants. There were some weird ones back then.

Just like Peter Porke the Amazing Spider-Ham.

That alternate reality with Magneto leading the team you mention, The Age of Apocalypse. They're revisiting that world this spring for a short run set of stories. And Bishop is on the X-Men team with Storm right now so he's till around. I forget when in the future he came from but in Comics it can take 10 years for even a few years to pass in the storylines. If you remeber X-Force, with Cable, Shatterstar, Domino, etc, is back and being done by Rob Liefeld again becasue he has nothing else to do I guess.

Ob, I'm loving Astonishing X and even Ultimate FF and the new Wolverine since JR JR took the art chores. My favs though are still 100 Bullets and POWERS. I have been reading Catwoman: When in Rome because I can't get enough of Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's collaborations. I do have some titles I am really looking forward to in the coming year as well. Esp the DC All Star line a la Ultimate Marvel.

White Camo paint job and a large red stretch logo on the rear tailgate. It would look awesome. My Dad is really jones'n over that car. He's waiting on the AWDs to get it one year used.
