Just wondering because I could not find any listed anywhere in the catalogues/databases. Let me know if you've seen one/have one, and if you've used one, what has the quality been like?

I've been told that they were created mainly to be distributed to military personnel, and that is why they aren't available on Oakley.com or some other sources.

I may be mistaken, but I thought the military ballistic SI lenses were just clear ones with no iridium on it.

SI isn't allowed to have any Iridium, so I'd agree.

The reason I ask is because I found someone on ebay (laker_dyNASTY) who was claiming to have these SI Ballistic M-Frame Ti Clear lenses. I asked him some questions about them and he answered them all wrong, so I didn't buy them. One of the questions I asked was whether they had an iridium coating and he said "No, they don't". But he said the transmission rate was different than just regular clear. This guy is full of B*LL SH*T.

So I still don't have any confirmation that Oakley has ever mass-produced this lens for sale/distribution. Am I correct?

Eric is right my gold clear lenses are directly from Oakley sports marketing, they did not produce gold clear or clear ti for resale.

yeah laker isn't really the most knowledgeable seller out there, but then again most of the sellers out there don't do their homework unless it has something to do with ruby generations.

but back on track, I've never encountered a Ti Clear lens SKU when putting things in the database. Even in one of the master SKU lists that I 'found' there's only Clear listed. Same for the Mag lenses.

I saw some few years ago at track cycling WC. Many cyclist used them and Huney was selling them, too

That's an ongoing debate that I don't think will ever be resolved.

I've bought countless pairs from Jason over a couple of years (must be at least 30, probably more like 40) and everything has always been real. He tells me that he goes to California two or three times a year and he certainly does have a lot of new stock after each visit.

My personal theory is that his unreleased stuff is test stock and/or items made for athelete exclusives. Like the Ruby on Bronze base Monster Dog lenses I got from him. What I would like to think that he actually works with Oakley's marketing department as an outlet for stuff they want to test market reaction to but I doubt that that is actually the case. Anybody else got any theories?

Like Moneygrip, I also have a Gold Clear M Frame lens provided to me through Sports Marketing.

Oakley has done quite a few clear based Sports Marketing exclusives over the years, including Gold Clear, Ti Clear, Black Iridium Clear, and what I'll call Johnny T Clear (search Tomac and it should come up). Most of these have been in M Frame, but also in Racing Jacket and Radar. Bobby Julich of Team CSC currently is rocking Gold Clear equipped RX Radar.
