Yep, I have a pair of these, take a look in my collection photos to see them. They're matte black frames with grey signature lenses. Not the most exciting combo I'll grant you but hey, they were the first scelzi sig pair before everyone jumped on the fancy fire iridium sig lens bandwagon (well at least that's what I tell myself... :)
Yup, I have them...This is the pair you speak of...
These were the first ones released, prior to the Fives and R2. The later 2 have the 4x (4 times champion) with his sig on the lens, the dogs only have his sig.
hey rick i take offense to that, jk. i have the helmuth unknowns, and im proud of them, not cause the color combo but since i havnt seen another pair of them
Wow! That is one hell of a signature. Were there alot of these Helmuth's released? Is it distracting looking through them? I like them in a funky sort of way. Your right this is the first pair I have ever seen.
I think Rick is commenting on the choice of colorways for alot of these Sigs. With the palette of frames, lenses, and colors, why do alot of the sigs fall into a monochrome pile. I own a Bruce Irons Hijinx and I wonder, is this the best they can do for these colorful characters.
At least change up the icons a bit. The Hijinx should have, at the very least come with a vented Icon. But I guess I can see the other side if your sporting these glasses for everyday wear. Moreover, I think like a collector/artist, which makes me biased in my opinion.
i heard 200 pairs but you never know how many were really released. no i dont notice the sig when im wearing them, another thing thats different with this pair is the bottom of the right lens has PROJECT 99 ethched in it, anybody know what that means or where it came from?
You are not the only one, I take offense to my comment as well! How a poker player got a sig series, I'll never know. Although I would love an Earl "The Pearl" Strickland Sig Series.
