Has anyone seen Venom yet? Just wanted to ask if it is as bad as a lot are saying it is. - Batman1939

I finally watched the movie. I had wanted to see it in the theatre but never got around to it. I liked it. I don’t understand the negative reviews. It has some weak points on the plot and script, but overall it was a fine movie, not as horrible as some say. 7/10 for me.

Agreed I finally watched it as well and thought it was a good fun Superhero flic. Good enough that I would be in for a sequel.

I liked it. It was a fun movie, I only felt like the final showdown was going to be a mid-way point of the movie, and then it just sort of ended. But I think I'm just used to 2 1/2 movies and 8 episode Netflix series, so a 100 minute movie is something I haven't experienced in a while.

No one really knows, and Marvel Studios is being expectedly tight-lipped. It's anybody's guess as to if the movie occurs before Avengers: Infinity War or after Avengers: Endgame. That said, the expectation by fans is that it's after Endgame.

The last two MCU trailers are hard to spoilerproof just due to the characters that ended up in them.

Is it possible that the end of Far from Home would be the beginning of Infinity War?

Yet another notch in Ray-Ban’s belt as they get another comic book character to wear their sunglasses. This time Vin Diesel in Bloodshot:

I used to like Vin a lot in movies until The Rock talked about making Fast & Furious movies. Sounds like Vin was your typical “It’s all about me” actor.

Good Oscar year for comic book movies. Black Panther nominated for Best Picture, though a super long shot to actually win. It was also nominated for the sound and score categories, as well as the costume category.

Avengers: Infinity War nominated for Best Visual Effects. I would be surprised if it didn’t win, but the Academy does choose odd things in this category in previous years.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse nominated for Best Animated Feature. Surely it’s a lock in that category.

I think it’s widely assumed all the characters that have sequels to their movies are coming back. Black Panther, Dr. Strange, Spidey, Guardians of the Galaxy (most of them anyway). I think what everyone’s waiting for is what they will do with the older characters/actors whose contracts have run out (i.e. Cap and Iron Man).

I thought Nick Fury was out since Jackson had a massive 8 movie contract and that finally was fulfilled. Not complaining though.

He re-upped. He’ll be in March’s Captain Marvel and of course Spidey in July. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is in a Endgame as well, since it seems everyone else is in it.

I'm SOOO far behind on the MCU timeline it's ridiculous. I almost avoid this thread because of it. With ever new Marvel movie being released - now being Captain Marvel - I keep telling myself I'll catch up before it's released. HA! That being said, I've only seen: Iron Man, Iron Man 2, The Hulk and Guardians of the Galaxy. I keep putting it off so I can watch them "properly" - since I have the phase 1 and phase 2 box sets. Never seem to find the time though.
