these look more military and less Foose
Or, do they look miliFOOSEY? You guys and your serials crack me up. I have risen above that kind of nonsense.

to himselfc'mon low number, c'mon baby![/to himself]

Now, I just looked at the Chip Foose gallery on his website and of the cars pictured there, I don't see anything that is overly extreme. He does some wild crap on Overhaulin' but the majority of his work is subdued. That is why I REJECT this notion that the Foose Gascan isn't "FOOSEY"....

See for yourself:

I'll never let this go! NEVER!

I've got mine on the way. The generous member who secured it for me told me my serial was low, not as low as Jason's but still low. I'll reveal when it arrives in a few more days.

Okay Junior..So, not Foosey? What do you call the Hemisfear? And the Cadillac SRX?? Not too boring either...The Camaro is traditional, 0032 is sleek, the Impression is aggressive and looks to be moving while standing still...The Gascans, well, they don't even look like the P32 car. Feel free to view the many works of Mr. Foose that are not....Plain.

Take a look at these too...

Not so Subtle. Many are just special editions of a standard production line vehicle, but isn't a Gascan a production line pair of glasses there chief?? Why not make those grab your attention like many of these vehicles? Why even make them themed after an auto? He is so versatile as seen in the links above with the Chopper and the Casino expansion...

Just havin' some fun there Dr.J...Hope you enjoy it as much as I have HAHAHAHAHAHA

I know you are having fun dude. That's what it's all about. Although, those links you pasted do nothing but further prove my point that his designs are "radical" but not because of some over-the-top paint treatment. You look at the paint treatments he did on all of those vehicles and they are all within the parameters of what I would describe as classy, sophisticated, and YES...subtle. Apart from that hideously gimmicky dragster, the paint treatments work with the design of the car and don't compete against it. Two-tone paint (just like the Gascan), with a little flare (brused aluminum effect), and a dash of color, (orange icon), how is that not Foose?

It's not like he could build a body kit for the Gascan, would you want that? A front air dam or a spoiler? Maybe some air ducts off the temples? Haha! Come on now, let's face it, all he has to work with is the color combo, and he matched that to a car he did. That's Foose dude. You want rocketships and cartoon characters? Wrong guy. Foose keeps it real and lets the design and look of the car speak for itself, not some obnoxious paint job. You know I'm right man! Booyah!

It all comes down to personal preference, but to say the Gascan isn't Foose-enough, that is over-stepping your powers! Someone's got to keep The Chopper in line, and who better than The DOCTOR!!!!

I see the Foose GC as more of a signature series, rather than artist series. And as a sig, it's one of the better ones lately, given it's not the black/black colorway with the signature on the end of the stem.

wasn't that a car from Pimp My Ride?? They do hack jobs like that! HAHA...

Now Doc, you have to at least acknowledge that his paint jobs are all brilliant while being simple, and all have something the gascans don't...Depth and shine! I think that is the part that makes them boring. Matte hotrod finishes are a ratrod or old style hotrod trend, and he just doesn't have any of those. Jimmy Shine from So Cal Speed Shop is the guy who rocks the flat and matte schemes.

Not to say he can't do them, but the P32 isn't a faux paint scheme, it's raw metal. All of the Foose schemes have paint that looks like you could reach into it there is so much depth in them. The black looks liquid, ans the candies are flawless....

I am more in agreement with Dann, and yeah, they certainly have more character than the recent sig series...The goggle have the sick signature pieces!!!

Remember the AC and TF were to be the 2nd and 3rd Art series release after the DF. Since the DF was pulled the AC became the first, they may have just used the Foose as a fill in since the release order had been changed.
It would be easier to go with the Foose than commission another artist and create further delays.
I'd believe the Foose was set as a Special edition first, and then brought into the Art Series line up.
