Saw an auction up on ebay for White Camo MD's with Ruby w/ Bronze base. Anyone ever seen this lens tint before? I can't find anything on it. Judging from the seller it should be legit.

Probably mislabelled and is really Fire Irid.

Fire has an Amber base. Gold, Ti and Tungsten have a Bronze base. Although I can see a seller refering to each as the other. However, this seller has had 24K Ir on a grey base so it may not be Fire.

I have a pair of Half Jacket XLJ lens with this combi. It is actually "fire" lens but due to Oakley manufacturing inconsistancy, this pair actually has purple hue + red with slightly orange on the ends. The base is Amber/Bronze.

Well, my experience was that both just copy what is written on the boxes.
F.e. both sold VR50 Crosshairs as VR28 (I compared it to a m-frame VR50 and a VR28 and it is definately VR50).

And both have the same boxes so I think they aren't print the stickers themselves.

Looking at the pictures (especially the one looking through the lenses), I'd bet those are just Fire. The Iridium is orange and yellow, and the base tint is amber/green. I definitely wouldn't call it a bronze base.

There is nothing ruby about that lens at all! Kinda wierd but it looks like some variation of fire way before a variation of ruby!

The 1st pic shows the Half Jacket XLJ with "Ruby Fire" lens in comparision with the XX Ruby, Unknown Ruby Clear and Romeo 2 Gary Scelzi's Fire Iridium. It is as good as the early batch of Ruby Iridium. BUT, from the 2nd pic, it shows the Amber/Bronze base of the lens. I bought the lens from a local shop.

Between ruby looking like new or old ruby, ruby looking like fire, fire looking like 24k .... about all we have to go on these days is the base. Unless it comes from t_o or h.m., then I'm inclined to stick with the base. But who knows these days, I have one of the eralier t_o 24k lenses with a regular grey base.
