Woah, so the GolfSmith ones are actually +red? From the picture they look like VR28 or something.

Justin, I was very skeptical when I ordered them because the picture does appear to be vr28 or some other lens. I figured if they sent me one with vr28 black (or something other than +red), I could just send them back for a refund as not being the item that I ordered. I figured it was worth a shot as I'd only be out a few bucks for shipping if the gamble didn't pay off.

Derron, I am not too concerned about the Box's serial number right now because having the actual +red lens is the important thing. Am I right? Hee Hee!!!! I am just happy to get one also.

I went and picked up from Golfsmith today it's what they say they are + Red. What is the real deal with the lens? Was it discontinued, recalled, or what and why? I don't know the story. I just love +red

The iridium had an issue with the case they came with. The fit was too tight and the coating was coming off.

Sweet frogs, camo monster! Hey does anyone know anything about the new +red polar lens? I found some info on O.com that says they have an 18% transmission rate. Regular +red is 15%, so did they use a lighter base or something? I was thinking I wanted to pick up this lens, but I'm not sure now. I was hoping they'd be darker than 15%.

Saw a pair at the o-store today - and they did strike me as being a pretty light (less reflective) lens. So I would believe the higher transmission rate. (pretty scientific comment, I know ... you can thank me later)

yeah, they are not factory lenses. David has lens blanks coated and then cuts them to fit Oakley frames. Colors look nice, don't know much else other than he sells a crap load to BMCAPS and that scalper changes them into frames and marks them like triple and calls the authentic...He has a few colors I am curious about...Real nice guy too (not bmcaps)...

I have a pair for my Carbon Romeo 2.0 and I love them! They look kind of like a cross between ruby and +red (but mostly +red). They don't have any yellow. Maybe just a tinge of orange at the very edge. Mostly reds and deep blue/purple hues. I think it was worth the price. If I had tried to cut them from a +red m-frame lens I would have screwed them up royally. Dave is a really great guy to work with and will answer any questions you have.

I just think it's about damn time! From what I understand, you can't even get them through the OCE program."
