Just recieved my second pair of DF1. The label is very different than my other one. The glasses are identical to my first one though. Hmmmm?

The only difference I can see is the missing production number...maybe an pair made for "insiders", like employees or sponsored persons

Thanks Tom! I think you are right about the production number. The production date on the label is 04/05/07 and on my first one it is 10/09/06. I believe my second one is not originally from Japan.

the rumor ive gotten from fellow employees is that they were put in the vault. No clue as to if they will ever be released or anything like that. I dont think oakley would "scrap" them.

It makes me wonder where all these Brown Flores are coming from lately, especially those with the orange icons. There was one time when they were impossible to find. Now they seem to be everywhere (relatively speaking, that is).

there are not many to be had and they are getting more rare by the day it seems. Most all the samples that went out were here in the states too, so I would imagine that it is really tough to find over there.
