I don't know if it's a heavily guarded secret as to when new Oakley frames would be released.

To prevent the O from taking whatever $$$ in my wallet on a consistent basis and also to keep my Mrs happy by taming my O desire, I've worked out quite reluctantly a plan with my wife that the only time I get to buy Oakleys is once a year during the Xmas season for a maximum of 2 pairs.

I'm looking for the new Half Jackets 2.0 or any new X Metals that catches my interest. Would they be released in time?? I seriously envy those who can splash out on new glasses all the time. Well, that's marriage to me: A Compromise.

Once more: being single isn't half bad. ;-)

To answer your question: I have no idea!

Man....I can hear the cracking of the whip from here....damn shame. Two/year isnt the end of the world I suppose, but you should definately start bargining for one/season. Like she doesnt buy a handbag and/or pair of shoes once a season - I know mine does.

To answer your question, the few that do know here, arent at liberty to say for fear of the big O slamming their fist down with the fury of ten thousand....um....angry wives.

Maybe someone will be brave enough to give you a vague generality as to when they can be expected.

Once you get a sizeable amount, you can add more and she won't notice.

Yeah, I agree with Dann-the bigger your collection gets, the more you can introduce new items and claim,"they have been there forever...don't you remember that pair sweetheart?"

This is a totally tru statement from Dann. The only time I get caught with new glasses is if I wear them more than once in a short period, my normal glasses get long term rotation while the new ones (due to them being new and fun) get a quicker rotation. Guess if I changed my rotation to be normal across the board it would save me some brusies, lol.

And to be on topic, from what I remember from this website and different people posting here the x-metal in early-ish 07' and the new sports stuff is spring-ish 07'. Ob did drop the word that the gascan s and monster pup are really really soon though. :)

My girlfriend has absolutely no problem with my addiction.... since I buy o's regularly she was not able to...stay away from the o.
Share the addiction 8). If not shades than clothes and accesoires - my gf is into the oakley handbags, t-shirts and jackets. And she owns 3 oakleys so far. So she can't blame me... only neg point is that we're mostly both broke this way *lol.

To make this work successfully I've learned that you unfortuately need to stay away from loud frame colors. My wife looked at the Blue Camo FC & was like "when did you get these?" Busted!

Or have all loud colors, so it blinds intruders.

One trick I have used is just buying new lenses. I have the option of black iri. pol., ice iri. pol., and ti clear for my juliets. Sweetheart, it's not really buying new shades if you're just changing lenses. ;)

The Half Jacket 2.0 and X-Metal line will drop next year in Q1. Before that we'll be getting the Gascan S, Monster Pup, Thump Pro and M2 watch.

Thx for the info. I'm really anxious if the thump pro looks really like a bottlecap.

Anyone allowed to talk about the M2 watch? Is it sports-specific, digital, analog, or what? Thanks.
