Finally watched all of the Tiger King documentary because everyone’s been raving about it. It’s an interesting show once episode 3 rolls around. What a crazy cast of characters. I also learned from the show that it only costs $1-2k to buy a tiger or lion in America. The cost of feeding and keeping them healthy is astronomical, but the price to buy one is ridiculously low. Lots of Oakleys on the show, too.

I binged watched The Curse of Oak Island. Very interesting to me. It does have me waiting for each new episode. You can learn something too.

I do like Project Blue Book. I wish there were more episodes - hoping for a season 3!

I did recently try to watch unXplained. I DVRed a bunch of episodes two weeks ago thinking I'd be into it. A few days later after watching two or three though for some reason I couldn't get into it. The Curse of Oak Island episode was even just OK to me. Not sure what it is that has me not liking it as much as I thought I would. Maybe it is Shatner?

I will share two guilty pleasures of mine... Bar Rescue and Property Brothers (any of their series). I can watch those all day.

I still need to watch The Punisher season 2 and catch up on some movies. Plus I’ve been wanting to watch Into the Badlands as well. Saw part of one episode a while back and it’s been on my list ever since.

WandaVision, probably the oddest and most unique show for Marvel on Disney+, seems to be getting good early feedback (at least for the first 3 episodes). I haven’t been too impressed with the trailers, but I’m looking to see how they put it off. From the trailers and info focusing on a sitcom-based theme to a surrounding mystery to the lack of real info, I get the sense all of this will end up with us being pleasantly surprised:

What an amazing show Loki on Disney+ is! Very exposition heavy, but it’s all intriguing stuff so I enjoyed it greatly. I should’ve invested more in Loki’s comic book first appearance when I had the chance. Never had any idea he’d be such a breakout character.

Absolutely! All six episodes were amazing and it totally stuck the landing. Some great writing and acting and some epic vistas that could have been in a film. Wow. Just wow. Disney Plus has done well with the three Marvel shows and Mando.

I'm looking forward to the What If...? series next month. For some reason it reminds me of The Animatrix from the Matrix films.

For the next month, it'll be all '80s nostalgia for me. So many properties making their way onto streaming in the next little bit. What if...? was a series I've dabbled in. Then there's Transformers War For Cybertron: Kingdom before the end of the month, and the Kevin Smith-led Masters of the Universe: Revelation coming out next week.

Caught all of Masters of the Universe: Revelation on Netflix. Condolences to the MotU fans. It's only part 1 of 2 so fingers crossed for the next 5 episodes whenever they get released.

M.O.D.O.K on Hulu (and also Disney+ for now) is hilarious. At least the first 5 episodes anyway; the hilarity goes downhill with the 6th episode IMO. They took a bottom tier Marvel character and made his somewhat interesting, while placing him into a very, very odd show. Episode 4 is especially funny. I recommend checking it out, especially if you're a Gen Xer.

Sandman, one of the great comic book works of all time, has finally hit Netfix as a live action adaptation, and I think it’s fantastic. Highly recommended. The first season focuses on two major story arcs: Preludes & Nocturnes and The Doll’s House. Obviously there are several changes made to simplify the story since it’s hard to put all the little details into a 10-episode season, and they also wanted to keep up with the current Zeitgeist, but I thought they did an amazing job in maintaining the spirit and plot of those stories. It doesn’t hurt that the creator was onboard the creative team to make sure the story stitched together properly. I’m looking forward to when they get together to some of my favourite arcs such as Seasons of Mist and Brief Lives.

The only thing I didn’t like is how emo Morpheus was. When he wasn’t actually crying, he seemed like he was ready to bust into tears every fourth scene. But a minor complaint overall. He was very well cast, as was everyone else.

Never read the comic book. Just never drew my attention. Watched about 5 episodes last night and I’m kinda hooked. I’ll have to give the books a go now!

Great stuff, JP. I do wonder how those who never read the comics would react to the lore and mythology. It seems its holding well with the general audience, so that's good. I'll watch it with my wife eventually, so I'm looking forward to her reaction.

I just finished it on Sunday. Really, really, really enjoyed it! Can't wait for Season 2. The lore and mythology are what I think make it cool. I do like that kinda of thing. It was definitely interesting to see how the show defined/created those characters. Highly recommended.

If not already aware, the classic X-Men cartoon from early 90's has been on Disney+ for awhile. This week (Wed) Marvel/Disney is rebooting the series with X-Men '97.

Yep, dig it! I'll watch it three years from now. LOL. I'm so bad with keeping up with stuff. I started watching Shogun on it's air date and now I'm two episodes behind and it's only on episode 5. Ha Ha.
