How is it that you all find some of the rare pieces in your collections... I ask because I am looking for certain types but cant find them on ebay. What do you collectors recommend me do to start obtaining these rare items that I desire. Of course other than o-review wishlist. Thanks!

U can try put them in the classifieds and then when someone sees them anywhere, they could send u links if they're kind enough :) It also depends on how lucky u are.. So Good luck mate & welcome to O-review (^-^)

None offer guaranteed success, but here are some ideas:

Ebay, (Total-O ... you could always try contacting him directly through ebay to request what you might be looking for).
Make friends with some of the UK/AU/JA/PH O-Review members so they can help hook you up with the regional exclusives (great example is the Tribal MD ... impossible to come by around the USA, but apparently you can't throw a stone without hitting one in the UK).
Outlet/Vault: If you have an outlet mall or Oakley Vault nearby, check with them often or have them call you when shipments come in.

no secret, just effort and luck. it'll take lots of both to get certain items.

Small shops sometimes have good stuff too.

You definitely should add the items you are looking for to your wishlist. A lot of members will check your profile, especially when you're new to the OR. Welcome BTW

Since you're saying that you can't find the item on eBay, you might wanna try putting the word out on what you want. A lot of members here have gotten rare items because they've asked other members if they could find one for them or letting it be known they're looking for it. The OR is really a Mother Theresa-level altruistic board, so if it can possibly be found by a member, you may be getting a PM sooner or later. Just let us know what you're looking for.

Otherwise keep searching eBay (virtually everything does show up on there, even the athlete customs). And have patience. If it's as rare as my version of rare is, you'll be searching for years before finding one.

Cool thanks guys for the tips/ hints! I will for sure have to update my wishlist then. Some are the obvious items like ruby juliets/pennys and then some why versions, that sort of thing. Will go thru the database to get the specifics so I know exactly what to look for.
