isnt that just asking to get shot in the eye? i know they withstand a quarter inch bb but a half inch round from an ak would give him a fair old headache..

I don't think there is any such eyewear that would stop a round from getting into your eye and brain. There was that stormtrooper helmet but nobody wants to lug that heavy thing around.

is that a military thing, any pics? surely if something was solid enough to withstand a bullet, the hat would break your neck anyway?

That face armor is tight. I would wear it but my neck would get tired real soon. That weight would pull down after awhile.
