I for one love all the new Oakley styles but I totally know where your coming from. Even though I liked Twentys, Minutes, and Straight Jackets, It was really frustrating when everything Oakley made was that same shape.

they do that to fit different sizes of faces.

I'm eager to see the grape/polarized colorway also!
The size of the twitch falls in-between the five 3.0 and the gascan.
It's sort of a nu-retro look to the frogskins.
I still wouldn't mind a retro of the frogskin.

I dont think they made this style off of any of the twenties, minutes, fives or anything like that. There is no size chart to them. It is a stretch model and they are just adding it to their small but growing line of stretch glasses. The eye patch is coming soon which looks exactly like the twitch but bigger. I dont think oakley was intending for these to be added in the line of the size chart.

They dont at all use the same mold as GasCan.... it is a Toric lens yes .. but each lens must be cut form a seperate mold.. being each frame will require differnt optics.. Toric= shield like m-frame, riddle, GasCan.
Spherical= Monster Dog, Minute, Juliets..etc.. Twitch is Toric it came from one sheild lens blank but a left and right lens was cut from it. This also for you fans out there will be an addition to the Strecth line ... with means other than a few O stores ... only Stretch accounts will have them.

Nice to see the custom type logos again.

i m soo not impressed....i guess because lately they all look the same and i was hoping for the colours to make the difference but as i can see nothing impressive....
Sadly, I was hoping for a better selection of colorways too. Why White/Bronze and Cream/Bronze? Where are frames like Olive Tort or Crystal Blue or some new color we haven't seen yet as other Stretch frames had done.

I'm still loving these though.

Eric: I did not mean from the same mold literally, I meant that all the newer models look alike.

Anyone know if Twitch and Gascan use the same lenses?

No they dont. The lens on the Twitch is much too tall to fit in the gascan.
The base curve is also much much diff than the gascan...they actually looks as if there is NO curve in the twitch lens.

those people saying that all the new styles are very similar to one another should take a look at the older "o-matter size comparison" image. All the older styles (fives2.0, minute, unknown, twenty, jacket) have very similar themes.

it is not a new thing for oakley to have a "themed" line up. they have done the organic look and now they are doing the sharp edge style.

I think a happy mixture will be the answer, now that there is a strong line up of these new edgy styles we need some more organic styles. Maybe start going back and forth rather than all or nothing. As for the twitch specifically i may get them since they are different looking, but they are even more like the old 3d movie glasses than the gascan was.

Thank You Evan! Thats what I was trying to say earlier.

The only thing I don't like in this line is the lack of unobtainium earsocks... my Gascans are not sticked to my head. That's why my next Oakley will be a Spike.

Don;t feel bad, the Gascan just fails to stay on some peoples heads. It's not the lack of unobtanium.

Yeah, the only reason my Gascans stay on is because I shave my head. Thats actually how I determine when I need a haircut. :)

I have the same problem with the Five 3.0, but never with the old Fives. The stems don't curve enough at the ends, and the polished frame doesn't help.
