Could someone who has both take a pic pls? I'm considering a pair of oo wires but it seems the Square version has +Red and not oo Red. Is there even a difference? Help!

Either way, you can see the OO Red has almost no yellow or navy in the lens as +Red does. But all the OOs should be OO Red.

Ok.. now in the DB the oo and oo Square are listed as having +Red while the oo E & A are listed as just oo Red. So is that just a typo or what?

Most likely an oversight.

Still don't know why Positive Red should be Positive Red. Never heard of oo red. Interesting.

*bump*

Just wanted to know if this is the case with the Jawbones - +Red polarized and the OO Red Polarized. Which one looks nicer? I'm thinking of getting a pair of the OO Red instead of +Red.

The OO Red this thread was about won't be the same as the new OO Red lens. The new OO Red is real nice though. It all comes down to base color. The OO has a nice G30-esque base to enhance contrast with the added polarized filter to cut glare. Otherwise compare it to the standard grey based +Red. I think the OO is one of their best new lenses to have. Welcome back, Ford!

Ah cheers Phil. Didn't realise the Jawbone OO Red had a different base than the +Red. Sounds like a G30 base would make a nice difference - use the Black Iridium for that neutral vision.

I've been wearing OO Blue and it's fantastic. They all have that contrast enhancing base. We talked about it at its inception and I believe it was a mixture of the G30 and Warm Grey resins to create the new base. Try it and you'll love it.

I thought the new OO line had a G40 base.

All of the OO lenses have a G40 base with a light grey polarized filter.

The OO Red Polarized is an amazing lens. For me, the only thing I believe can touch it is the OO Black Polarized. Which I would say is the best lens Oakley has ever produced up to this point.

The OO lenses are really great lenses. One word of caution, from those of us that still embrace the "iridium should be reflective and not show my eyes so easily" mentality. The OO Red is great to look through, but the iridium coating is relatively light and easily seen through by the outside observer.

For me, the OO Black is the top lens option from the OO line. The OO Black seems to give a better reflective iridium coating (honestly, I feel a bit silly holding on to the "i don't want them to see my eyes" thing ... but I guess it is what it is for me). And is only given a run for its money from our long standing favorite VR28 BIP.
