That's a great design... imagine they had put the grafik on the outside - grey on black?

The frame color is called "Oakley Text" it first appeared on the rep exclusive White Gascan, and we should see it on the goggles next season.

that treatment looks really similar to the Script women's frame. I know someone said it was O-Matter, but that layering with the design looks too much like the acetate frame.

except it's not black/black. it's got grey gradient lenses. first gradient sig I think.

I meant another boring signature...

As for the first sig gradient, I think it was Danni Stahl limited edition Gravepine. red/red dark to light gradient lens.

was that from the article Phil posted? I remember the article, but not the glasses. I don't recall it being a sig piece either.

Well its her signature in limited edition, but do you mean with her sig etched on the lens Brian ?

That I doubt, even that Twitch sig does not seem to have a sig, probably just on the inside of the arm or something.

that's the one Phil showed us. good article. though the article made it sound like it was a one-off piece, rather than something you could get in a store (like most of the other sigs)

It was a 10-off piece, but still non-retail. It's not often they tell you the colorway of these low-count models.

And is Black Grey Gradient Different than the Black Gradient. I also noticed the Riddle has Brown Clear Gradient, whereas most others have just Brown Gradient. Can anyone compare who has them in real life.

Edit: yes Black Gradient has now been renamed Black-Clear Gradient.

Does anyone know the size of the Twitch? is the lens size comparible to the gascan? I want a pair, but if they are the same size as the five 3.0s then they may be a bit small for me...

The LE Grapevine was supposed to be very limited. Around 100, and sold to the public, but I don;t know through what outlet. The article said to check Nylon.com for details.

Evan, I'm pretty sure they're around Monster Dog sized. I could be wrong though.

Yeah I'm curious about the size too - Monster Dog size sounds good; it's bigger than I thought they were.

I bet Black Grey Gradient is a Black Gradient on top of a Grey base. Which is very cool.

The price jump is nuts though.

Yeah, I know the price is nuts. The new gradient lens sounds good though. The standard Black Gradient isn't dark enough for me. I hope this lens comes out for Gascan/Thump 2.

Dann, what else do you know about this pair?

We have that exact same Gascan and have not been able to learn any information about it, other than what we learned from the dealer we got it from.

Our local Oakley rep for Hawaii picked up a pair and gave it to our dealer, who in turn offered it to us. He tells us that, according to the rep, maybe 30-50 were made? It's an item that wasn't sold, only given to reps. Which basically coincides with what you said.

So...as I repeat ( =P )...what other info might you have on these?

They were given out at the last rep's meeting. All the reps fly out to HQ once a year (maybe more, I dunno) and usually return home with a limited run colorway. I know last year the Ruby Clear Monster Dogs were given out. This year was a choice between Bottle Green Gascans or the White Oakley Text (and another pair giving us the first glimpse of the Rust frame). I saw my local rep wearing one, and they were very cool.

Tried to get in touch with people who were in charge of the LE Grapevine and all I was told was that it was distributed in few select stores to be given away, however some decided to sell the pair at a ridiculously high price...but it'll definitely never be in mass production nor re-introduced to the market as a stock combo. Shame cuz they looked good I think.
