I can't make up my mind if I like it or not.
I'm going to have to see it in person and then decide.

Its not that i dont like half frames, i love my XLJ's but it just feels like an anti climax cos i was expecting something amazing cos its an X-metal.

Though it's a half frame, it's sculpting and styling is still amazing. Wait until you see it.

BTW, if anyone saw it due to a photo over-wrtie accident, administration asks that you please do not repost it.

the above "hacksawed juliets" are just a photoshop job

we'll post the official image tomorrow. anyone who thinks they already saw it is certifiably wacko, and is politely asked not to post their hallucination :-P

LOL my god, the half-frame prediction was right. Gonna have to see this in person, cuz from the PS'ed pics, it looks hella weird.

Interesting... I like the ear stems, but I'm not so crazy about the shape of the lenses (kinda weird how they come to a point on the outside edges).

Also, just by the shape of the center nose piece, the glasses seem like they should've been called Juliet 2 instead of Romeo 2.

Still, I wish they'd come out with a nice Ruby lens edition (though I know it won't happen). But it's nice to see that the Xmetal range hasn't been forgotten. :D

The sculpting on the earstems is terrific. The lens shape does leave a little more to be desired. It seems almost too basic. As far as calling it Juliet II, I would imagine the Juliet evolution different than what we see above.

And thanks to K2Snow (Jeff Ogden) for supplying the image to us.

As with many Oakley models, I'd guess the real thing will look better in person. The price increase is still pretty staggering, though.

Guess we should have known with the Hatchet's being pretty much as much as the current X-Metals.

I like it but I think that the price increase is really going to put people off. After all, you're getting more X metal on a Juliet, which is cheaper. Still, seems very nice if you can afford a pair. I like the way they've done the icon and I love the earstems. However, I think I'd go for Hatchet just because of the price.

Once again Oakley has created something unique. I love the look of a Dartboard looking frame mixed with a half jacket, and X-Metal look. Im buying 2 pairs at my O store when they come out. The Thump can wait.

Yeah, we've been lucky and able to get images of most of the new products first. Hatchet/Thump/Tall SI Boot.

Oakley.com takes forever to get their own products online.

i don't think i'd ever pay what they're asking for this pair. I can't see how they can possibly justify the price increase. I'm willing to believe that x-metal is expensive to make (although not as expensive as they're charging, but there's a certain exclusivity and prestige involved), but to make a pair with this much less x-metal and charge that much more seems silly

now if it were given to me, that'd be a different matter.

i guess polished/ti will just seem all silver and shiny, which is pretty cool

re-posting image for ease of discussion...

Nickel's should have been the next X-Metal. What are the pro's and con's of working with Nickel as a metal.

X-Metal's cost about $80 to produce, I've heard.
