Hate to sound like the real dick of the site, but this should've been added the numerous "display case" threads.

If your happy for me, friggin PM me, or pissed, PM me, what I do on ebay is my friggin' business....

This is getting to be a bit much......

I was an O fan before I found this place, and I can be one without it.....

Nik, I'm not trying to go against you, I'm just trying to keep the right posts in the right thread. I'm actually happy for your new cube. I wish I could afford that. Don't take this the wrong way, I, and I'm sure many others, love having you on this site. So, if I seemed like a dick toward you, I'm sorry. That's not the way it was meant.

At the same time and moving off topic slightly, I find it rather irritating that I'm getting PMs from certain members (you can probably guess who) saying I can get a double wide display case off them and to PM them if they are interested. Sounds dodgy to say the least. If I was interested in a double display case, I'd have bought one from eBay by now, or I'd have posted here. I neither have the money nor the space for a double wide case even if I were interested. Unsolicited attempts to sell me things are not appreciated and not what this site is about.

I agree with you 100% Nik, your (or anyone elses really) ebay purchases shouldn't be splashed up here.
Listing an open, active auction is one thing but dont go checking up on peoples recent purchases just to list them here for crying out loud.

And don't go mate, you've got every right to be pissed off but it'd be a shame to lose you over one persons actions.

Crap not again. Sounds like a revist to that whole money clip nonsense. I am in agreement with Nik 100%. What one does on E bay is no one elses business. i am sure that we all have had plenty of times while searching e bay for oakley stuff that we have ran across O review members that have won an item or were outbid by someone else, does that mean we should be sending congratulatory flowers or condolence cards? keep it private, you want to say cool congrats PM the person lets not start a whole thread on the subject. And nik to bail just because of this is nonsense, info that you have posted on this site and your reviews have with no doubt helped members out and are very darn well informative. Dann has stated it this site depends on its members. And Arizona you need to chill you do not want to make a name for yourself as the one that causes hubbub all the time. Im sure you mean well but think before you do. Just my thoughts.

Charles, why on earth did you start this thread in the first place?
Like Nik said, its his business if he wants to stick it in the "my latest purchase thread" (which he has already) and if he doesnt, then thats fine.
I know that I would feel angry with you if you had done that to me.
Stop trying to be a smart arse.

I am kind of lost here; I am aware of all the fuss about the money clips, wich was a non issue any way to begin with.

So a member cant create a thread congratulating another who won something ?!

As far as unsolicited e-mails, I agree with you, just post a thread in this section instead of sending a PM.

I apreciate everyone on this site, lets not make this an issue.

i agree with everyone here. Ebay purchases should be private. if the winner chooses to disclose their item, so be it. we don't need new threads started exposing members' purchases. Nik, we enjoy having you here, and to leave because of someone else's poor judgement of actions would be a shame.

okay...i am not responding to this again but this bashing is just out of control and frankly, im sick of it.

#1. i never knew it was bad to say congrats! how many times have people posted my auctions and said congrats? no...they tell me that i am wasting my money.
#2. for the record, i have ebay contact me everytime an oakley display is sold...you can have it set up in your e-bay preferences. if i thought someone would be bothered by this, i wouldnt have posted it.
#3. i clearly wrote to another member who i "will keep anonymous" about a double display(which i might add was only 700 USD which is a steal) because i thought he lived in kentucky. i confused "uk" with university kentucky because he was a university student.

err...this post irritates me. i try to be nice to everyone and it backfires. when people are a-holes, they like them more.

end of subject. don't expect a response on this topic again and you dont expect me to sell display stuff again. i was about to sell single and double displays today at NO PROFIT FOR ME but i wont even consider that now.

have a great weekend guys.

Arizona dont take this as a " Ive got nothing better to do on a saturday morning so lets all bash on charles" its just that what you write sometimes tends to to be a little inconsistent and it sure as hell is confusing sometimes. For example you PMed me a couple of weeks ago stating that you got a double for $1700.00 but then you state above that It was available for $700.00. Do not think that anyone is against you its just that that sometimes WTF are you saying? Dude dont let stuff like this p you off Im sure everyone here knows you mean well its that sometimes it does not come out right.

for the record, it was 2 of the double displays(and another but that wasn't included) for 1700. he had 2 double displays and was going to package/ship them both.

i since talked him down to 700 without shipping and am not even getting the double display cases because i am waiting to buy them from someone in arizona(preferably tucson). there was one member(because i spent a lot of time on this) that took me up on the offer and i hope he comes out and thanks me on the board...

The "my latest purchase" thread is the most popular thread in OR's history. Let that be the only forum for bragging & congratulaions. Also, I'm going to start a new on ebay thread to post good finds.Obviously when you get this many personalities together there's bound to be tension at times but I think Dann has prided himself on the friendly nature of this site. It's amazing to me how quickly things can get escalated. Sometimes I get tired of searching through dozens of threads to find new info. Just about every different issue has been discussed at one time or another & of course when something gets added it gets pushed right to the top of the forum so you know there's something new to read. With some common sense and common courtesy this site can remain the friendly meeting place that keeps us coming back. The letter "O" is an unbroken circle, so try to keep in mind that's what brought us here in the first place.

Sounds like the perfect day. I may do just that as myself but since I don't own a pair I may have to settle for drinking a beer out of a gascan.

Lesson learned: if someone wants to share their latest eBay purchase, they will do so in the My Latest Purchase thread.

End of story.
