isn't the Vader Helmet kind of like an extremely modified Polarized Black/Black Iridium Monster Dogs...sure its a bit more sculpted and a little extra plastic has been added..but the Silver O's on the sides of it in the new movie finally give it away as Oakley
Working at a movie theatre, I got to see the trailer the very first time we showed it. I was floored. Scored me some free tickets to the midnight show on the 18th ahahaha.
My manager has refused to watch the trailer prior to viewing the film. He's a freak.
Is it just me or is the shameless use of the Star Wars characters in advertisements & other places (kids chioce awards) diluting the dark mysterious feel of episode 3 leading up to it. Does Lucas feel this is his last big opportunity to milk the cash cow or what?
Number 1. Is there really "O" in this movie??? Sounds like it - SWEET! In Vaders helmet? Makes sense.....
2. I saw an interview in which Lucas said this was his last feature film (yeah right) but he is working on a couple of SW related TV projects - which makes sense....with what they can do with SE now - an hourly TV show once a week would send merchandising through the roof....like it's ever struggled....
Regardless - my question is - we are all relatively close in age and certainly agenda - is anyone from the OR actually "camping out" for tickets or shall we remain relatively civilized in everything short of our pursuit of O....?
There really isnt an O I was kind of trying to be humorous although I have always wondered how well the actor can see out of that helmet...while Lucas may be trying to make $(why not?) I do appreciate that the music DVD is pretty good that comes with the soundtrack Its very rare that 11.98 actually gets a "bonus" anything these days...My wife is a huge SW fan and has got me watching the old movies for the first time since early 80's...no campouts for us but I really do want to see this soon as we can...I am not sure a producer "milking a cash cow" is all that different than getting an O anywhere u can(athletes, X Men, etc) and I dont see anything too wrong with it as long as its a decent product
george lucas has never been shy about milking star wars for every last penny - it's the hollywood commercialistic attitude, but hopefully the movie will still rock
Nope, but I am going tomorrow. I can't wait to see this movie. I've been a huge Star Wars freak way before I discovered the joys of Oakley. I saw Episode I the day it came out. Didn't even have to wait in line for tickets, I had a connection hook me up with some. I did have to wait in line to see the movie, though. It was well worth the wait. Everyone cheered when the Main Title hit and applauded when the credits rolled. It was amazing. Anyway, yeah, I can't wait to see this damn movie!!
Not to disappoint anyone here or my friends but I'm gonna give it a few weeks until I go. Prob when I get back from Cali. I'm just not excited no matter how good I here it is. I do hope and I can tell from your posts of those who sawit already that this is 1000% better than 1 & 2. And that's what I want. Man, how'd Lucas manage to turn me away?
Now Batman Begins, that's my pic this summer. Then Willy Wonka. I have to see what's all coming this summer so I don't miss anything.
