Hi everyone,
I have a pair of Oakley Juliets with Ruby lenses(they have a blue tint on the inside) and I was wondering if anyone wanted to buy them. I bought them off a sort of famous rock star(I can show you the recipt) and I also am getting a signed limited edition single cd with never before heard bonus track signed by the band(they will be on the warped tour this summer and have been on mtv a few times promoting their new cd). I literally just got the sunglasses less than a week ago. They have red ear pieces(that I put on myself) and the ruby is a much deeper ruby compared to most on ebay since they were made specially for the guitarist. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PAIRS OF RUBY LENSES AND THESE ARE BY FAR THE BEST COLORED LENSES. As a side note, there is a VERY SPECIAL SERIAL NUMBER ON THE LEFT HINGE that is RARE.

If anyone has any offers, let me know...I am pretty sure they were specially made for this one individual based on the serial number.

Does anyone want to give me an offer? If so, let me know...note that they are pretty special to me so I am not going to just sell them...I need a very good offer so I thought it was worth at least asking. If anyone wants to trade, I would consider it but I am pretty picky.

E-mail me if you want pictures...thanks!

Mike, pics were posted in the initial thread (though I'm sure no one will complain if there are more posted):

Unless you reveal the "secret star", no one's going to get excited. And even then, you'd need to authenticate it somehow. Personally speaking, this little mystery game is getting kind of old.

I hate to break this to you (because you're obviously proud of your glass and well you should be), but I don't think the lenses on those glasses are any more custom produced than any other ruby lens. The thing about the ruby lenses is that the can come in a variety of shades. That just seems inherent in the production of the ruby colour. I've seen some so deep red that you'd think it was the same one used in the X-men movie to those are have so much yellow/orange that they appear partially fire. They may have picked a good one in the batch for those glasses, but I don't think they're custom.

You might be right...but the person I bought it from said they were custom. Additionally, there was a special serial number on it which makes me believe they were the best lenses in the batch(like you indicated). I could be completely wrong but I am keeping them for myself since I like them a lot!

As you should. They are very nice glasses indeed. And they are very much custom in that the ruby lenses didn't originally come with plasma frames. Very nice combination!
