I'll give ROTS the moniker of best of the 3 new ones. I was hyped for Ep 1 and saw it 3 times. It was an exciting event that kinda petered out. After that I even had issues with Ep 1 I didn;t like. Ep 2, didn't even bother with it in the theater and only watched it on video once. That was all I needed. Ep 3, I wanted to see it in the theater but never got to it. I was a huge SW fan growing up and all the way through college but Lucas himself really ruined it for me. He should have allowed someone else to polish his scripts and to direct. But now it's over and we all know where it started which is great and in leu of buying all the DVDs on the market now I'm just going to keep holding out for the giant DVD set that will hit sooner or later.

Oh, on a side note, I was super impressed with Genndy Tartakovsky's Clone Wars toon.

I saw Aeon Flux last week. Not exactly faithful to the animated version(s), but great fun nonetheless.

One good reason to see it: Charlize Theron

I saw Mr and Mrs Smith over the weekend. Lots of O on the SWAT team the waste at the films finale. To bad they couldn't have them in any O. Made me want to run around in my HI Blue Four shooting people up in the dark. It was good though. Leaves you hanging a bit but you can assume what you want I guess. I assume they went in business together and took out their two respective employers.

i saw Mr. and Mrs. Smith last weekend too. lots of O-Goggles on the SWAT team. too bad Brad and Angelina weren't wearing Oakleys... how hard would it be to get them some HI Blue eyewear for the movie... d'uh! good call on the HI Blue Fours Phil. how about some HI Blue Square Wire 2.0?

anyway, movie's not bad, but it was really open ended. i guess the next installment would solve that though.

yeah , endings like that leave the door open for sequals ( correct spelling ?) if they make enough money on the box-office

I can see it being sequeled. But the most obvious direction half repeats the first. Someone attempts to take the two of them out so they need to work together. Or it turns into a protection gig, the way Grosse Pointe Blank went.

For more movie talk though, no matter what you hear, I am not the model for the main character in "40 Year Old Virgin" despite what my dad says. Seriously though, watch it with a few friends or someone you love (just not with your mom) and laugh your ass off.

I took my parents to see King Kong the day after Christmas day,and I gotta say that I really enjoyed it.
The usual awesome effects from Peter Jackson, and a very good (but not 100% faithful) storyline even made me feel sorry for the great ape.
Certainly on my Dvd want list when it comes out.

Finally saw the TNT miniseries (I think it was on TNT?) Into the West. Talk about an awesome experience. So many of we Americans come from families who were intermarried between white and Indian, and they had to make tough choices. This is where people like us come from. It's so vitally important to know who we are, and where we're from.

But for anyone who sees a movie like that, and wants to explore their native heritage, understand that not everyone is Lakota... which is a failing of such movies. That aside, it raised the bar for historical accuracy... even if history seemed to repeat itself on the set itself, if the gossip is true.

There were times growing up that I didn't hardly feel white. Especially after spending summers with my aunt and uncle. He had been on the tribal council of the Choctaw nation when I was really little, but spent his time helping the local Navajo community once they'd moved out to Arizona. Those were some great summers.

But of course, the look skips around the family. I look completely white as yall know (that is, unless you know what to look for). Anyway though, I encourage anyone who knows they have a even a smidge of native American blood to find out more about where they are really from. Most of the nations have websites, you can read about maybe becoming a member, or just read about how to get involved with how to make things better.

And if you fell in love with that medicine wheel and what it represents, feel free to scower the net and get your own bit of bling, but be sure it's the real deal, support native american artists. Otherwise, such bling can be downright offensive.

Got the Session 1242 DVD. It's not bad. Incredible tricks being done on skis and all that. Pretty short at 40 minutes, though. Lots of Oakley goggles and other products to behold. If you can find it to rent, do so. I don't think it's something worth buying unless you get and incredible price on it.

Next up, Oakley's The Community Project.

i'm watching Sin City right now & I noticed during the part where Marv goes through the things he bought & he lists off three things in a row. A pair of gloves that look like copies of Mace gloves, Razorwire, & a hatchet. Kind of a cool coincidence

Finally got The Community Project DVD. Overall, I was disappointed. Someone on this forum recently said that the pacing was very slow. At the time I thought to myself, "Impossible, it's a snowboarding movie...how can that be slowed down?" I found out first hand. The music and the tone provided a dull movie watching experience....relative to the high expectations set anyway. It's got great camera work, though, and the scenes in Japan were just plain awesome. Too bad the rest wasn't too exciting. Maybe I just need a bigger TV or something. *shrug*

Between the two big Oakley-sponsored DVD movies, Session 1242 is a better watch IMO.

Just got the Ultimate Avengers DVD. If you're a fan of the comic book (true genius, IMO), then you may like this DVD. For all others, you probably won't. Story doesn't flow all that well, animation isn't the best, voice casting and acting is lackluster.

I liked it myself but only because I finally get to see the characters on screen. Thor was the best and coolest character IMO, but he got so little screen time. Maybe he'll get more in Ultimate Avengers II.

Purchase only if you love the comic series. Otherwise it's a sure rental.

Yeah, they broke it in two halves just as the Graphic Novels were released for Ult Aven. I'm sure we'll see more Thor as he has a larger role in the last 7 issues, but no Hawkeye. He was lisenced elsewhere and they couldn't use him. As per the animation quality (and I never thought Marvel chose good studios to do their animation projects) this is only the first in a series of 7 and I'm sure things will clean up.

I thought that they were doing that too with Ultimate Avengers....adapting 6 issues in each movie, but the preview for Ultimates Avengers II gave a whole different plot. I won't give any spoilers, since the DVD just came out, but there's a character introduced that hadn't previously appeared in the Ultimates story but will play a huge part in the next movie.
