Good to know! Not that I am in the market for anything in that price range.

Yep, it'll be released. Likely around $700 and the case will likely be the same as the Badman/Madman. The model is no longer tied with Ferrari, so there will be no Ferrari branding.

Closer to the price we saw penciled in during 2014. I mean more than $350, but further away from $2k.

Sounds good to me.

Any idea of a release date and if they will be limited? I also wonder what the color-way will be now?

Rumour is R3 or holiday release.

That didn't last long

One of the designers said there should be 2-4 other versions of the CP coming down the pipeline, but not right away.

I heard that as well today at my Bunker. But they are going to make more for the masses and charge double what this one cost. Sounds par for the course:)

Since the CP sold out so quickly, I'm sure Oakley's adjusting their plans for the model. I'm sure we'll see a lot more of it as long as it continues to sell out like it did.

With any luck. But did it sell out fast because of the design despite the price, or because it was a small run. The Concept Studio and Raw Madman also didn't last more than a day.

I'm sure it was a bit of everything. Limited numbers appealed to the collectors. The piston hinge and Carbon Fiber element got people excited. The pent up demand played a factor, since it's been a couple years since we started seeing the designs and real life samples, and release was delayed several times. Lots of things added to people jumping on a pair when they had the chance.

The design is cool. I think it was the fact that it was originally the SF16C that also created the demand!

Apparently a couple more CPs are coming out as early as this fall. I'm asking if there are SKUs yet in the O Store system.

I noticed that they used the -02 on the preview but -04 on the release

02 should be Prizm Black Polar and 03 should be Prizm Ruby Polar. Likely the R3 releases we've been hearing rumours about.

-02 being a Prizm Black Polar non-MotoGP

Yep

With the Ruby version, I think we may get the Ferrari frame colour after all, minus the badging on the earstem of course.

That would be awesome. And cheaper too... I'm starting to regret I bought the Ferrari! Lol

Nah, you shouldn't. That was a GREAT purchase. Most will have the Carbon Prime, but precious few will have the SF16-C.

No, don't regret that. You needed to complete your Ferrari collection anyway.
