I bought a badman Carbon with dark prizm lens just last May this year and been using it almost everyday of my life comfortably and until suddenly a week ago for no reason when I was about to wear it the temple connecting the frame on its folding point just suddenly detached itself for no reason --- I was confident that it's an oakley and I would get a replacement or it's still under warranty somehow but as much to my surprise "THERE WAS NONE" and I can't even buy a parts to
Replace this----my question is that" how come they've invented this new gen X-metals as they claimed and now there's no available parts for it??!!--- please advise what I need to do now?!---otherwise I am planning to throw the glasses away and never I would buy a badman again and I will spread the bad incident about the badman I have encountered ....

The hinges have been the point of weakness in the Madman/Badman combo. I'm not sure why they went with them, but the X-Metal promotion was mostly marketing in the end. My brother is seeing the Badman showing up in the clearance section at his store for $115, so that's usually not a good sign for the longevity of the model. I haven't seen any buzz about followup models, so the line as we know it could be an isolated release.

If Oakley can't warranty it (odd after less than a year on the market), there's not many options.

I still think they should have released them under MetalWorks rather than X-Metal. It feels like that would have gone over better.

Here in my country (BRAZIL), the oakley assistance (Luxottica), is weak too, as needed lenses p / replacement w / my badman and just did not have lenses, because there is no p / replacement.
Oakley needs to review its policy and give more attention to spare parts of your glasses because it is no use to launch new models and do not have spare parts for at least a 5-year p / meet buyers and fans of the brand.

I, too, am surprised they are not replacing this under warranty. I have seen dealers send stuff back under warranty for a lot less, and Usually they'll just replace the frame with a brand new one. Not sure what Oakley's thought is with this one, but I'd give them a shout again and make a big stink about it. Especially if it was bought through an authorized dealer or through Oakley direct, there shouldn't be an issue.

Vault out in Tucson, AZ had 3 DE Madman & 3 DE Badman marked down to $299. And from the conversation I had with the staff there, they are moving at that price...

I am really surprised that they would not replace under warranty. Maybe you spoke to the wrong person. I would def try again either calling customer service or trying a different location.

I find it peculiar that the warranty was denied.
There must be more to the story, or the "associate" you spoke to was just a pizza delivery guy filling in for a pee break...

I would call the warranty department again. Sometimes they just give you a BS answer to get you off the phone. You have to ask for the warrant department (which they do not have a phone at their desk) and one of the guys (if not busy) will go over and talk to you on the phone. If your local go to the HQ and get them serviced. BUT if your throwing them away I'll take them off your hands. I'll even pay for shipping... Best of luck.
