The quest is own one of these starts today....

The painted body is subdued and does not scream Oakley. Overall, it is acceptable as it is a little blend of the legacy aluminum and the 3.0.

The overall footprint seems to take the least space compared the earlier models

The lack of rivets is nothing new but exposing the hex heads seems to do the trick.

The LED lighting above and the unknown lighting at the bottom seems to spit out a lot more lighting than the previous models.

These binding post located all over inside seems to be a receptacle for additional lighting but I really do not know what it is for.
Also, the shelves are non-adjustable.

Those are pretty slick. Just shows that I definitely need a better lighting setup.

I seen a few of these at scheels. I like them much better than the 3.0 black towers. I always thought those were quite boring.

The first picture is in Palo Alto, the rest are from The Metropolis, Burnaby (east of Van City). They have them at Whistler too.

I believe we will not be seeing these towers in an O -store near us because they are sticking with the open style display

I wish I had space for one of those!

The 4.0 cases have been in Alberta for a while. The pic below is from Optika in Calgary. Next to it is the updated Rx case as well. I really like the hinges, castors and lights running the length on the inside corners, but I'm otherwise unimpressed with the rest including being indifferent to most of the aesthetics and the colour.

I do like the 4.0's. Loved to have one myself. The Rx case is pretty cool. Love the lighting on these new ones!
